đ¨ Judge uses obscene words against r**e survivor inside courtroomâ the seat of justice is now disgraced!
â R**e is NOT a matter of âcompromiseââ it is a heinous crime, a crime against humanity!
But shockingly, when a r**e survivor courageously went to court seeking justice, the judge himselfâ
đ´ Used obscene and humiliating words against her in open court
đ´ Pressured her repeatedly to âsettleâ with the accused
đ A judge behaving this way does not only destroy trust in the justice systemâit turns the courtroom itself into another place of violence and humiliation for women.
â Why is this shameful, illegal, and unacceptable?
1ī¸âŖ R**e is a crime, not a private dispute.
đ Under the Penal Code 1860 (Section 375) and the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act 2000, r**e is a non-compoundable offenseâ it CANNOT be âsettledâ under any circumstances.
2ī¸âŖ The judgeâs duty is to ensure justice, not to insult survivors.
đ Such conduct violates the Judicial Code of Conduct and directly breaches Article 27 of the Constitution (equality before law).
3ī¸âŖ Violation of womenâs human rights.
đ Article 28(2) of the Constitution and international treaty CEDAW guarantee womenâs equal rights. A judgeâs obscene remarks and pressure for compromise mean state-sponsored humiliation and denial of rights.
âī¸ Our Demands:
đ R**e can never be compromisedâ punishment for perpetrators must be mandatory.
đ Courtrooms must be safe spaces for survivors, not places of further insult.
đ Strict action must be taken against judges who engage in such disgraceful misconduct.
â Justice must mean not only verdicts, but also dignity for women inside the courtroom.
