*DR AKOSUA OFOSU-ASIEDU DONATES EQUIPMENT TO GHANAIAN HOSPITALS*
On Thursday, January 27th, 2022, Planaria Medical Agency (PMA) in collaboration with Aton Clinic, both UK based Non-Governmental Organisations, donated loads of Medical equipment to some Ghanaian hospitals.
Dr. Akosua Ofosu-Asiedu, UK Medical practitioner and TESCON-UK Secretary, donated the equipment which include seven (7) boxes each with a minimum of fifty (50) items included surgical equipment such as sterile gloves, surgical caps, laryngoscopes, oxygen masks, central venous and urinary catheters and suturing materials on behalf of PMA and Aton Clinic.
On the question of why they did donate through Dr. Nsiah Asare, she expatiated that the two companies are solely based in the UK and did not exactly know which hospitals lack the more. Hence the decision to make the donation through an experienced and well versed individual.
"Eventually, our thorough search landed on the person of Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare, Presidential health adviser. He would help disseminate these equipment to the most lacking and pressing hospitals across the country", Dr. Akos explained.
"The items were presented to Dr. Nsiah Asare for two main reasons. Firstly, to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of the government during the COVID-19 pandemic. Secondly, as a token of our contribution to our motherland towards improving health service delivery", the celebrated doctor added.
Dr. Akos concluded by expressing her unfeigned appreciation to the doctor in question and to the government of Ghana for the utmost reception and meritorious contribution. She presented a citation to Dr. Nsiah Asare on behalf of PMA and Aton Clinic.
She stated that hopefully in the coming years, there will be bigger opportunities to serve her home country, Ghana.
There were photo session with all dignitaries present amidst exchange of pleasantries.
