COUNCIL PROJECT COMMISSIONING: BAYELSA PDP EULOGISES OROUPAYE & UBARUGU FOR JOB WELL DONE.

Bayelsa State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warmly congratulated Honourable Oroupaye Nimizuah and Dendricks Ubarugu, Executive Chairmen of Yenagoa and Kolokuma/Opokuma local government areas for the commissioning of some people oriented projects in their respective council areas.

The projects which were commissioned by His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Executive Governor of Bayelsa State include; ultra modern Secretariat complex for Yenagoa local government council and upgrade and expansion of ultra modern motor park in Kaiama, headquarters of Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area.

In their separate welcome address, both council bosses appreciated Governor Douye Diri for finding time out of his busy schedules to come for the commissioning ceremony. They equally commended the Governor for giving them the opportunity to serve their people and for all the support they had received in the course of their tenure as Chief executives of their local government council's.

The Executive Governor of the state, Senator Douye Diri in his remarks, appreciated the two council bosses for a job well done. The Governor went further to enumerate the various intervention programmes the state government had extended to the councils, which include financial support to enable Council's to pay monthly salaries as at when due. Ongoing efforts to start payment of pensions and gratuities, amongst others.

In another development, Party had paid a courtesy visit on Hon. (Dr) Waripamo Dudafa to consult with him on ways to move our party forward.

BAYELSA PDP OKAYS LOCAL RECONCILIATION COMMITTEE FOR OGBIA LGA.

Following a successful meeting last week between Party Executives and candidates of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) from Ogbia Local Government Area; an expanded follow-up meeting comprising the LGA Prosperity Caucus, Honourable Commissioners and .Members of the State EXCO from Ogbia was called to discuss the desirability of expanding the ongoing peace efforts to include all the participants of our Party primaries.

Consequently, an idea to look at modalities for the setting up of a Local Reconciliation Conmittee to do additional work complementary to the work being carried out by the State Committee was mooted and adopted.

The overiding objective is to ensure that no one is left out but everyone brought on board and given sufficient opportunity and space to contribute robustly towards re-inventing concord and harmony which have remained priceless hallmarks of the PDP as a political party.

Accordingly, meeting resolved and nominated the following persons to act as members of the Local Reconciliation Committee and they include: (1) Mr. Ebiye Ogoli, (2) Chief Amalala G. Atua; (3) Chf. Michael Gilbert; (4) Mr. Loveday Ogoniba (5) Mr. Ayam Moses; (6) Chief I. I. Afagha; (7) Comr. Lucky Ewa; (8) Hon. Prince Isiki; (9) Dr. Promise Ekio; (10) Mrs. Faith Opene; (11) Hon. Frederal Otokito.

The above committee was then inaugurated and given one month with which to wrap up it's work and turn in it's report.

LETTER OF APPOINTMENT

The leadership of the PDP Social Media Crew has approved the appointment of Mr. Justice Turner as coordinator of Bayelsa East, Miss. Festus Becky as coordinator, Bayelsa Central and Comr. Ebikeseiye Paul, as Coordinator Bayelsa West.

These appointment are in view of their unflinching support for the Party using the social media as medium and to further reward upcoming social media practitioners in Bayelsa and beyond.

These appointments are graciously approved by the Publicity Secretary of the Bayelsa State Chapter of the PDP, Mr. Ebiye Ogoli.

The PDP Social Media Crew is Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO) founded and inaugurated in 2018 by the then State Working Committee (SWC) as volunteers to project and promote the candidates of the Party in the forthcoming elections in Bayelsa State and beyond.

PDP RECONCILIATION: BAYELSA PDP RECONCILES PARTY CANDIDATES.
...As Resolve To Work Together.

Members of the Ogbia Caucus of the State Chapter of the People's Democratic Party today summoned a reconciliation meeting with it's Party's candidates for the State House of Assembly and National Assembly seats from Ogbia Local Government area where they resolved to put aside all their differences arising from the Party primaries to work together towards securing victory for the Party in the forthcoming general elections.

Spearheaded by Mr. Ebiye Ogoli, State Publicity Secretary; other executives of the Ogbia PDP Caucus include; Chief Godwin G. Atua, State Financial Secretary; Chief Michael Gilbert, Asst. State Secretary, East; Mr. Loveday Ogoniba, State Ex-officio and Mr. Ayam Moses, LGA Party Chairman.

The meeting sought to bring the Party candidates together as a team having emerged from their respective constituencies. Also, it was the opinion of organisers that time was fast running out and that there was an urgent need for fence-mending and rapproachment amongst candidates to usher in the spirit of common solidarity ahead of the Party's electioneering campaigns.

The meeting had in attendance Chief Benson Agadaga (former Chief of staff, Govt. House) - Senatorial candidate, East; Hon. Ebinyu M. Turner, House of Representatives candidate; Hon. Gibson Munalayefa State Assembly Const.2 candidate; Mr. Richard Ibegu (State Assembly 1 candidate), Hon. Gabriel M. Ogbara (State Assembly 3 candidate). No doubt, the meeting was a great success as everyone spoke their minds freely. At the end of which, far reaching decisions and processes which will assist in moving the Party forward in the LGA were reached.

Participants acknowledged the primacy of holding meetings regularly and thanked the Party for the wisdom in hosting the meeting. Meeting specifically commended the State Chairman of PDP, Hon. Solomon Agwana (JP) for his humane and exceptional leadership style which had produced a free, fair and credible party primaries.

BAYELSA PDP SOCIAL MEDIA CREW CONDOLES GOV. DIRI'S AIDE OVER FATHER'S DEMISE.

Bayelsa State PDP Social Media Crew have condoled with the Director of Domestic Affairs to the Governor of Bayelsa State, Barr. John Sambo over the demise of his father.

Mr. Perekebena Okoyen who led members of the prestigious political media platform to pay condolence visit to Barr. Sambo at his Government House residence, said the visit underscores the importance of the Director of domestic affairs to the group.

While condoling the Sambo family, the group used the opportunity to acknowledged John Sambo's immense contributions to the group before, during and after the 2019 governorship election.

The group enjoined the bereaved family to take solace in the worthy legacies the deceased left behind.

Responding, John Sambo appreciated members of the group for finding time to visit his family in time of grief, despite their busy schedules.

Expressing satisfaction over the activities of members of the PDP Social Media Crew, he guided against unhealthy arguments on the social media platforms, admonishing the media crew to be professional in promoting, projecting and defending the PDP and the Governor Douye Diri led Prosperity Administration.

Spurring members of the group irrespective of individual interests to market candidates of the People Democratic Party across board, he stressed that the Governor Douye Diri-led administration has done lots in terms of infrastructural development, noting that only a strategic media reportage and positive propaganda such laudable projects to people of Bayelsa State can be unveiled.

Late WO. Ikisa Opokuma Sambo, father of Barr. John Sambo died on Monday 18th July, 2022 at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Yenagoa after a brief illness.
