Since the blog is being a real, real pain in the butt today, here's a preview of today's post: the 3rd level clerical spell, the Encystment of Episode.

All actions, intentful or unthinking, have a primary sentient Actor associated with them. This entity is bound to its actions by guilt and pride here in mundanity. In stranger places the bonds between are of silver cords. This magic pulls those cords together and hides the web of what they touch.

All conscious knowledge and evidence of an act is removed from experiential reality and replaced within one object thematically related to the act. This object must be no larger nor heavier than the caster of the spell can manipulate with one grasping appendage. If the primary actor of the act to be hidden is not the caster, this requirement applies to them as well.

As long as the object is hidden by the primary actor, the episode remains outside of reality. If the object is stolen from them by a sentient creature, carefully examined by a sentient creature, or destroyed by anything: the caster, the primary actor, all others who were directly affected, all within the immediate area of the object, and all within the settlements of sentient creatures nearest those already named immediately know all about the episode, even if they did not know of it prior to the spell being cast. All physical evidence of the act returns to material reality. Any intervening time did not pass for this physical evidence: if the spell held for a million years, the material evidence exists now as it did a million years ago.

If the action to hide took place longer than a season ago, it requires increasing time and materials to cast. (Seasons are delineated by solstices and equinoxes. The actor's lifetime is used for other measurements, not the caster's.)

within a season: 1 hour / 1sp
within a year: 1 day /1 gp
within a generation: 1 week/ 100gp
within a lifetime: 1 month, 10000gp

These are costs incurred by the caster; they may decide to charge whatever they wish for this spell to be cast.
