Take a look at this post where a Mercedes from 137 years ago is compared to a modern one. It's incredible to witness the evolution over the years!

In another image, you'll see our palm wine tapping system, crafted by our ancestors over 2000 years ago. Surprisingly, little has changed in this technology since then. It serves as a stark reminder that our critical thinking hasn't progressed much, unlike in other regions where such innovations fuel thriving industries. It's disappointing, but crucial to acknowledge our society's lack of progress and awareness.

No one is exempt from this criticism, including myself. However, much of it falls on our government, universities and engineers. Graduates in electrical or mechanical engineering often find themselves having to learn what they studied in university from uneducated person with mechanic workshops.

And let's stop from blaming religion for our backwardness; after all, religious beliefs exist worldwide.

The world is holding its breath as Israel prepares for a massive ground invasion in Rafah, the last refuge in Gaza where over a million civilians have gathered. Thousands more innocent children could die, caught in the crossfire with no escape. Right now, Israel’s Minister of Defense is in DC to request more weapons ahead of the attack on Rafah.

After boxing 1.4 million Palestinians into Rafah, Netanyahu has approved plans to invade the city. This invasion could be the worst thing Israel does since the start of their brutal attack on Gaza. We cannot let it happen. Israel’s military relies primarily on US support. Biden could stop the invasion by ending arms transfers to Israel. Demand he acts now, before it’s too late:

No to FGM! Don’t cut our clitorist! Can someone tell me why the west who push against FGM due to health issues are the same people legalizing Abortion & LGBTQ even though there are numerous evidence these acts are both anti religion, immoral, unhealthy and harmful.

If their fight against FGM is based on health why then put the lives of those who do Abortion and practice LGBTQ at risk?
I’m confused. Is the fight against FGM genuine?
Please what are your thoughts?

DISABLED” GAMBIANS BECOME TAILORS: GRADUATING WITH PRIDE!

Another great day for me as I watched 25 “disabled” Gambian men and (majority) women walked, or were led, to the podium to collect their tailoring certificates on Saturday, February 24. They have become qualified tailors after 9 months’ intensive training through our training contractor, SND Designs, and were each given a brand-new sewing machine. The Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment, Mr. Baboucarr Joof, graced the occasion and expressed his full support for the graduates and, voluntarily, his intent to refund the costs of their machines. We, at Heeno International, a Gambian funded humanitarian NGO, is immensely grateful to our partners – BADEA - Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa Gambia Federation Of The Disabled. (GDF). Thanks, also to the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment and the Ministry Of Finance and Economic Affairs Gambia - MOFEA
This is another milestone of the Gambia Special Needs Entrepreneurial Fund! AlhamdoulilLah!

Sundiata Keita was born in 1217 to King Naré Maghann Konaté who was a ruler of the Mandinka people and his wife Sogolon Condé. 🇲🇱

From birth, Sundiata was a cripple and suffers hunchback which made him a subject of ridicule. For this reason, he was always in the Palace and very close with his mother.

When his father's Kingdom and Palace was conquered by King Soumaoro Kanté of Sosso, many people were killed but he was spared because of his physical conditions. However, Sundiata was determined to revenge this invation and eventually offer justice to his people who has been treated with Injustice by the Sosso invation.

He eventually succeeded; Sundiata purposively travelled to the plain of Siby (var: Sibi) where he formed a brotherhood in order to liberate his country and people from the powerful Sosso king.

Eventually, at The Battle of Kirina, Sundiata and his allies defeated the Sosso king, and he formed and became the first Emperor of the Mali Empire which became more powerful and prominent than the Kingdom of his father.

Although, Sundiata Keita was born a cripple and with hunchback, he became one of the greatest Kings and warriors the African Continent has ever seen.

Like Sundiata, you and I should not allow anything to be an 0bstacle on our way to take back Africa and rebuild our l0st glory to honor the memories of our ancestors and give them juśtice.

African history is beautiful, do not dìè without knowing yourself or passing on this beauty to the next generations.

Ancient African Civilization
____
Many old West African families have private library collections dated back to the 8th Century A.D. There are 11,000 books in private collections in Niger Republic. Meanwhile in Timbuktu, Mali, there are about 700,000 surviving books.

Also in the Mauritanian cities of Chinguetti and Oudane have a total of 3,450 hand written mediaeval books and 6,000 books surviving in the other city of Walata.

Most scholars of Timbuktu knew a lot more than their counterparts in Europe. In the 15th century in Timbuktu the mathematicians knew about the rotation of the planets, knew about the details of the eclipse.

African Scholars knew things which we had to wait for almost 150-200 years to know in Europe before Galileo and Copernicus came up with these same calculations and were given a very hard time for it.

AFRICA NOW ON THE CENTER STAGE:
Russia Military delegates arrived in Burkina Faso yesterday.

Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Yunus-bek Yevkurov visited Burkina Faso and met with the head of the transitional period Ibrahim Traore

During the visit, the Russian delegate reaffirmed the support of his country in transition and the people of Burkina Faso in all areas of development. He explained that this is primarily about military cooperation, including the training of Burkini cadets and officers of all ranks, including the training of pilots in Russia.

This is also coming just few days after the United Kingdom’s Minister of State for the Armed Forces, James Heappey MP, has met with top defence leaders and military chiefs in Nigeria to deepen defence cooperation among the ECOWAS countries and discuss the situation in Niger.

The handwriting is now becoming clearer on the wall...
But we'll watch and follow closely.
