San Antonio National High School (SANHS) Hosts School-Based Press Conference

SANHS hosted a School-Based Press Conference, January 17. Gathering young campus journalists for a day of learning and inspiration. The event aimed to sharpen their skills and prepare them for the upcoming journalism competitions.

The program began with a prayer led by Carmella Jeanne Dumlao, followed by the singing of the national anthem by Mylene Cabaddu. Ednarheign Cabacungan welcomed everyone with her warm opening remarks, setting an encouraging tone for the event. Jasmine Althea Buna then introduced the participants, journalists of San Antonio National High School (SANHS) and Delfin Albano Magsaysay Stand Alone Senior High School (DAMSASHS).

Mhelaika Joy Rosales delivered the statement of purpose, emphasizing the role of journalism in promoting truth, integrity, and informed communities.

Furthermore, Jose Rafael P. Guiyab, speaker from Santo Tomas National High School (STNHS), tackled various categories in journalism, including news writing, editorial writing, feature writing, and photojournalism. His detailed explanations and real-world insights gave the young journalists equipped with practical knowledge to improve their craft.

The program concluded with the awarding of certificates, facilitated by Aiza B. Ocampo, Gina Galam and Kristine Mariano in recognition of the participants' enthusiasm and commitment to learning. Keeping the event lively and well-organized were the masters of ceremonies, Angel Marrice Corpuz and Gian Carlo Magaoy.

Epitome of Excellence

San Antonio National High School held its awarding ceremony earlier today, December 16, 2024, to recognize the Cleanest Classroom and Lawn Area per curriculum grade, as well as to honor Honest Students and Punctual Teachers.

For the Cleanest Classroom Award, the following grade levels were recognized:
• Grade 10: Carnation
• Grade 9: Del Pilar
• Grade 8: Apollo
• Grade 7: Pascal

These classrooms stood out for their cleanliness, organization, and the dedication of both students and teachers to maintaining spaces that are neat and conducive to learning.

Meanwhile, the Cleanest Lawn Area Award acknowledged the efforts of specific grade levels in keeping the school’s outdoor areas well-maintained:
• Grade 10: Daffodil
• Grade 9: Del Pilar
• Grade 8: Athena
• Grade 7: Fibonacci

The ceremony also included recognition for demonstrating Honesty within and outside the school premises during the months of November and December.

WALANG PASOK!

According to the latest update of PAGASA, Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 is raised in the northern part of Isabela (Quezon, Cabagan, Santa Maria, San Pablo, Maconacon, Santo Tomas, Delfin Albano, Tumauini), while the rest of the province have no TCWS in effect, as of 5:00 AM, November 15, 2024.

Typhoon will continue to move northward over the sea west of Batanes, then northeastward towards Taiwan during the weekend.

CLASS SUSPENDED!

TYPHOON “OFEL” FURTHER INTENSIFIES AND IS NEARING SUPER TYPHOON CATEGORY.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 3 has been raised in the towns of Maconacon, San Pablo, Divilacan, and Palanan. The northwestern and southeastern parts of Isabela are under TCWS No. 2, while other areas in the province are under TCWS No. 1, As of now 5:00AM, November 14, according to PAGASA.

OFEL is forecast to move northwestward over the Philippine Sea before making landfall along the eastern coast of Cagayan or northern Isabela this afternoon, according to PAGASA's report.

WEATHER UPDATE!

Classes will be suspended tomorrow on San Antonio National High School due to Tropical Storm .

Severe Tropical Storm has slowed while in the ocean east of Aurora. Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 3 has been raised in Isabela, the northern portion of Nueva Vizcaya (Diadi, Bagabag, Quezon, Solano, Villaverde, Kasibu, Ambaguio, Bayombong), the northern portion of Quirino (Diffun, Cabarroguis, Aglipay, Maddela, Saguday), Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and the northern portion of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, Dinalungan). As of today November 10, According to PAGASA.

The highest wind signal that can be raised during the passage of is TCWS No. 4. The typhoon may make landfall in Isabela or Northern Aurora tomorrow morning or afternoon, according to PAGASA.
