- Old Country Buffet, closing all of its remaining locations
- Joe's Crab Shack is closing 41 of its 60 restaurants
- IHOP, closing a 100 locations
- Buffalo Wild Wings, closing all of its Canadian locations as well as 60 in the United States
- Applebee's, closing 35 restaurants
- Red Lobster, closing 50 locations as they enter bankruptcy (Wall Street bankrupted them for the land their locations are on)
- Denny's, closing 20 locations by the end of the year
- Marie Callender's, great pie, closing all of its remaining locations
- Pizza Hut, planning to close 500 restaurants
- Outback Steakhouse, closing 41 of their 700 locations
- Sibaro is closing a total of 50 locations with majority being mall locations
- Marty or Marr Pizza closing a total of 27 locations
- Ruby Tuesday closing 16 restaurants
- BDQ closing 8 of their 59 locations
- Bonefish Grill, closing 7 restaurants
- Johnny Carino's closing 30 locations
- Quiznos Subs, a 140 locations
- Macaroni Grill closing 31 restaurants
- TGI Fridays, 233 restaurants
- Corner Bakery Cafe, closing a 104 locations
- Au Bon Pain, a 100 stores,
- O'Charley's, 64 restaurants
- 91 Boston Market locations
