The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) just launched a historic bilingual PSA campaign uniting icons like Dolores Huerta, Melissa Barrera, Mishel Prada, Tonatiuh, Los Tigres del Norte, Chiquis, Don Cheto, and more — all coming together to celebrate immigrant dignity and Latino contributions.

Because immigrants aren’t outsiders — we are the builders, the dreamers, and the future of this country.

Alfonso Hernández, known as “Piñata Man” , turned his love for Selena Quintanilla into a massive Día de los Mu***os tribute.

The Dallas-based artist created a 12-foot-tall calavera piñata dressed in the iconic purple jumpsuit Selena wore at her final Houston Astrodome concert. The project was a family effort: his daughter helped paint it, and his father built the steel framework.

Displayed inside the Women’s Museum at the State Fair of Texas, the piñata became more than art — it was a celebration of Selena’s enduring legacy and a reminder of how Mexican traditions like Día de Mu***os keep memories alive.

Fans shared the tribute across social media, with thousands praising the craftsmanship and emotional impact. This piñata proves that sometimes art, family, and culture come together to create something unforgettable. 🌟

🌟 It’s official! Los Bukis will be honored with their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 11:30 AM PT 🎶✨ This will be the 2,817th star, recognized in the Recording category, right on 7060 Hollywood Blvd near Sycamore Ave.

The celebration will be hosted by comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, with special guest Demián Bichir speaking at the ceremony. 🚧 Heads up: Hollywood Blvd between Sycamore & La Brea closes at 9:30 AM!

🚨 He was born in Georgia. Spoke Tzotzil. Had a valid birth certificate.
And yet, Juan Carlos Lopez-Gomez, a 20-year-old U.S. citizen, was arrested under Florida’s immigration law and held for days at ICE’s request.

A judge confirmed he was a citizen. His mother sobbed during the hearing.
And still, they kept him locked up.

💥 UPDATE: Juan Carlos has finally been released—but not before facing a terrifying, unconstitutional reality: even American citizens can be treated like “unauthorized aliens.”

This wasn’t a mistake. It was the system working exactly as it was written.

🛑 This is a wake-up call. What happened to Juan Carlos could happen to any of us. This isn’t just anti-immigrant—it’s anti-American.
