Fresh episode of Bøne Broth on Hong Kong Community Radio featuring Wareshevik - Locked in with an infectious passion for electronic music since his high school years like countless other Gen Z/late Millennial ravers who came of age in a pre & post-COVID ravesphere, Wali/Wareshevik shows no signs of slowing down but will still cede his will to that of the dancefloor.

Whether as a raver or DJ, Wali still enjoys mixing & dancing to anything within the spectrum of electronica including synthpop/wave, dubstep, trance, house, glitch hop/IDM, jungle/DnB/breakbeat, Balt/Jersey club, juke/footwork, and Bollywood/South Asian influenced sounds. While very much a techno/basshead by heart, Wali tends to push against playing it safe by genre or BPM in his sets by leaning further on shared dancefloor energy and his own emotive state to spontaneously inform his mixing approach for the night, day, or hour.

Drawing from the nostalgic tones of 8-bit Commodore C64, the pioneering spirit of Kraftwerk, and the synth explosion of the 80s, ivoschi creates hypnotic melodies blended with lush, melting vocals. Driven by boundless curiosity, ivoschi continues to explore the infinite possibilities of electronic music production, distilling sounds and atmospheres into warm textures.

In 2024 ivoschi delivered a live performance and DJ set at the german ‘Kulturelle Landpartie’ festival, entertaining an ecstatic and grateful audience. The journey continues with the upcoming release of his debut EP ‘Disco Prophet’ on Bøne.FM. This collection draws inspiration from acclaimed artists like Monkey Safari, Sascha Dive, and Remcord, blending indie dance and house influences with disco elements that perfectly complement the EP's stunning vocal performances.

Throughout 2024 into 2025, Wali's already played at dozens of different clubs, bars & local rave/electronic hotspots in NYC including now-closed underground bastion XPizza, Happyfun Hideaway, Silo, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Eris, Elsewhere, Hell Phone, The End and Cafe Kitsune Boerum Hill. He has also recorded mixes & played sets for city/US-based and global electronic collectives/promoters including Half Moon Brooklyn, Shared Frequencies Radio, Techno Inc NY, Offset Pakistan (Karachi), We Are The Future Party (NYC/global), Party Right Here Astoria (NYC), and more!

For this mix, Wali sought to slam together his habit for hardgroove & industrial, crunchy synth/bass-heavy techno, EBM, leftfield sounds with juke/footwork, jungle, Baltimore/Jersey club, and some riskfully-positioned Bollywood dance edits to recreate some of his favorite dancefloor memories in NYC's local venues & parties.

Fresh episode of Bøne Broth on featuring - a sound explorer and activist of the electronic & experimental scenes in Pais and beyond. He is the head of SeekSickSound, a French electronic media and collective, as well as a member of The Bass Society and a Rinse France resident since the launch of the station over ten years ago.

He also co-founded the label Syrinx Music and plays live electronics on various noise / experimental projects (Haxo, Ritaline Tsouko, Lutèce 162). As a DJ, Background specialises in bass & club music in all its forms, with a punk ethos and the aim to open music borders and crossbreed styles. Breaks, syncopated drums & minimalist subs always remain at the core of his sets. His mixes blur the lines between grime, garage, breakbeat, jungle, rave & many more, with a love for their more adventurous sides, from 100 to 200 BPM.
