is making history as the first Indian state to introduce mobile-based e-voting for urban local body elections.
Built through two dedicated Android apps-developed by CDAC and the Bihar State Election Commission-the system is designed to serve senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PwDs), pregnant women, and migrant workers.
Globally, Estonia led the way in online voting back in 2005. But Bihar is offering a unique approach i.e., mobile-first, inclusion-focused, and tailored for our digital realities. A bold step toward a more accessible and participatory democracy.
