Social media determines our daily lives, it is accessible to everyone and, if used correctly, can bring a lot of joy to users. So why are social media companies not taking action against users who violate community guidelines and instead listen to those who feel unsafe because of these violations? It's time for these platforms to prioritise user safety over popularity ratings.

This is not the first time that social media has come under fire for the way in which community guidelines, which are meant to support users, are not properly enforced to provide a safe, secure environment for all. In fact, the lack of enforcement of these policies exposes each and every user to potential harm and danger, leading to an increase in mental health conditions that already lack sufficient resources to maintain and keep up with demand. The number of teen and adult su***des resulting from online bullying has increased, and social media companies continue to fail to make the necessary changes and invest in the infrastructure needed to protect users to prevent this from continuing to happen. When these platforms are notified of bullying and other violations, they should delete the accounts that break the rules and report them to the authorities, as most violations are also criminal offences.

Wow!!!

What a couple of weeks it has been, all I can say is I am overwhelmed with the support recently on my social media platforms.

My tiktok views have been crazy and the likes even crazier. 55k. 53k. 32k. It’s been beyond my wildest dreams.

My Instagram has been overwhelming. 3.5k followers which have grown since my trip to South Africa.

I have continued my work with farmer.ralph1 and am helping with the launch of a small craft business which is an exciting opportunity.

It’s sad that a smile can hide so much☁️

Mental health is such an important subject yet it is such a taboo. In August I abseiled down the spinnaker tower in aid of to spread awareness for mental health and more important mens mental health as this is something that has affected my life🤍

Last year in England and Wales deaths relating to su***de were 6.9% higher than 2020 statistics at 5,583 deaths. There are organisations such as the who help to provide help and support to those who want to end there life☁️

Be kind. Be understanding. Speak to people how you wish to be spoken to. You can’t judge a book by its cover, you don’t know what is going on in someone’s head and behind closed doors. Let’s just be kind and loving to those around us🤍

And finally to those angels in the sky who have lost their battle with their mental health, you are loved every day by those you left behind. You were too special and far too precious to live on the earth, it was your time to join the angels and fly free from the pain and suffering you faced. We will reunite with you all one day☁️

A little windswept but it was worth it.

Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town in South Africa. From Table Mountain you will see Robben Island. Robben Island is an island in Table Bay, 6.9 kilometres west of the coast of Bloubergstrand, north of Cape Town, South Africa. Robben Island is most famous as the place where Nelson Mandela, the first democratically elected president of South Africa, was imprisoned for 18 of his 27 years in jail. The island has since become a symbol of the triumph of democracy and freedom over oppression.
