Badi is sundried lentil dumplings and found in every household in Odisha . It can be prepared in large quantity and stored for long time to be used as and when needed.
Its has a basic recipe using Urad dal - soak it overnight and then grind into thick paste . Add some salt and then whip it in your hand for 15 to 20 mints , till it becomes airy . Then put aluminum foil on a tray , grease oil and give shape to the dumplings. Dry it in the sun for minimum 2 days . Then tada fry it in oil and eat as your side . Make badi chura or add it in any mustard paste curry .
