उधमपुर MH चौक: टावर पर चढ़े व्यक्ति का सुरक्षित रेस्क्यू
उधमपुर के MH चौक पर टावर पर चढ़े व्यक्ति को आखिरकार फायर ब्रिगेड टीम ने सुरक्षित रेस्क्यू कर लिया है। मौके पर पहुंची फायर ब्रिगेड की गाड़ी की मदद से व्यक्ति को टावर से सही सलामत नीचे उतारा गया। रेस्क्यू के बाद प्रशासन और मौके पर मौजूद टीम ने राहत की सांस ली।

Proud Moment for Jammu & Kashmir and District Udhampur
Sh. Sohan Kumar Bhardwaj, Teacher, Government Primary School Tassar, Zone Ghordi, District Udhampur, represented the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and highlighted its rich contribution to Indian culture at the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Dwarka, New Delhi.
It is a matter of immense pride for the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, and especially for District Udhampur, that one of our teachers from Government Primary School Tassar, Zone Ghordi, represented the rich cultural heritage and contribution of Jammu & Kashmir to Indian culture at CCRT, Dwarka, New Delhi.
The teacher is participating in a 10-day Training Programme on “Integrated Craft Skills in School Education”, being conducted from 8th September to 17th September 2026.
During the training programme, the diverse and rich heritage of Jammu & Kashmir was presented with special emphasis on its geographical topography, tourism, natural resources, forests, rivers, minerals, crops, roads and infrastructure, culture, traditions, and languages.
The representation of Jammu & Kashmir at such a prestigious national-level platform is a significant achievement and a proud moment for District Udhampur and the entire Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. It reflects the rich cultural diversity, traditional knowledge, artistic heritage, and educational contribution of the region to the broader cultural fabric of India.

Joint Security Review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and Enroute conducted jointly by J&K Police and CRPF

Katra, 04 September 2026:

1. Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, DIG Udhampur-Reasi (UR) Range and Sh. Awdesh Pathak, IPS, DIG CRPF conducted a joint security review of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and the enroute from Katra to SMVD Bhawan today.

2. The joint security review was undertaken with the objective of assessing the existing security arrangements and ensuring effective implementation of security measures along the entire route leading to the Shrine.

3. The senior officers were accompanied by Commandant, CRPF 6th Battalion, SP Katra, SDPO Katra, DySP Bhawan and other senior officers/personnel of the CRPF and Police.

4. During the visit, the team conducted a thorough inspection of the Katra–Bhawan route, with particular focus on vulnerable locations and critical security points.

5. The officers also inspected various checking and frisking points established along the route and reviewed the deployment of security personnel and the existing checking procedures.

6. The security arrangements at important locations were assessed with emphasis on effective access control, frisking, checking, surveillance and coordination among the deployed security agencies.

7. The senior officers interacted with the personnel deployed on ground and reviewed their preparedness, alertness and response mechanisms.

8. Necessary directions were issued to the concerned officers for strict implementation of the prescribed security measures on ground and for maintaining a high level of vigilance throughout the route.

9. The officers stressed the need for close coordination and seamless communication between the J&K Police and CRPF for ensuring comprehensive security of pilgrims and visitors proceeding towards the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.

10. The joint review reaffirmed the commitment of the security agencies towards maintaining robust security arrangements, enhanced vigilance and safe pilgrimage at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.
