It's been a while since I last played the underrated Days Gone. I really wish they'd make more games like this. 🥲

This clip shows just how bad my aiming is with a controller, but somehow, I still manage to survive the hardest horde in the game. 😅

Wiped The Old sawmill before heading to North with the use of 2 submachine gun and 1 machine gun.

Here's a glimpse of the bosses I defeated to earn that Platinum. Most encounters were pretty easy—like, for real, bruh! I expected it to be tougher than DS1, but honestly, it wasn't. That said, some of the DLC bosses were pretty challenging, and I'm honestly thankful for that. It really added that extra bit of intensity and satisfaction to the experience. Definitely made the journey more memorable!

I'm pretty sad since I’ve already completed the series, but hey, we gotta keep moving forward and keep an eye out for more gems waiting to be discovered.

22nd Platinum!

This is the first game where I had to play all the DLC maps to obtain essential items and skills for the platinum, which is why it took almost a month (limited playtime due to work).

I had no idea DS2 was the most hated in the series until today, but after playing, I understand why.

Usually, I enjoy playing games spoiler-free at my own pace, expecting improvements over the previous titles. I thought DS2 would be like DS1, but it’s clearly different—downgraded visuals, less engaging boss encounters, and awkward world design. The enemy placement is brutal, especially if you rush through your first playthrough. Shrine of Amana? A nightmare for melee players—but thankfully, the bow helps!

Despite the frustrations, I still had fun and appreciated the experience. It's not one of their best, but I’m glad I played it and earned that platinum!

Here's a glimpse of my gameplay with the bosses in Dark Souls: Remastered. If I remember correctly, after Ornstein and Smough, I overleveled the rest since I am preparing for the platinum on my second playthrough.

21th Platinum!

It’s nostalgic returning to this game. I first played it back in 2013 on PC, though it was a pirated version. 😅 Nyan introduced me to it, and I loved the challenge even though it was just a borrowed game. I thought that would be my last playthrough (Last boss: Gargoyle), but luckily, it’s available on PS4, so here we are!

The first playthrough was as challenging as expected. The battle mechanics felt clunky, and the platforming and mobs were a nightmare. I anticipated the bosses to be tough, but it was the mobs and platforming that led to most of my deaths. The bosses weren’t too difficult, except for the Four Kings. Ornstein and Smough were manageable with Solaire, and I noticed they often got stuck on pillars. I defeated them solo three times across NG1, NG2, and NG3—pretty funny to exploit the pillars around.

When comparing the difficulty of dual bosses in other Soulslike games, the duo bosses in Nioh still stand out as the most unforgiving.

Overall, Dark Souls 1 was a rewarding experience. While frustrating at times due to its clunky mechanics, it’s a game that rewards perseverance and learning from mistakes. I wish I had played it before Elden Ring; I’d have a greater appreciation for the improvements made throughout the series. It’s been a privilege to experience the world and lore crafted by Miyazaki. What a time to be alive! 😁

My current platinum list of soulsborne/soulslike:

• Dark Souls
• Dark Souls 3
• Elden Ring
• Bloodborne
• Nioh 1
• Ghost of Tsushima
• Sekiro
• Code Vein

Here's a glimpse of my gameplay with the bosses in Elden Ring. Some were beaten where I was underleveled and others where I was overleveled.

Late Upload: 20th Platinum - Elden Ring

After three weeks of gameplay, I’ve finally earned my 20th platinum trophy in Elden Ring! As with other Soulsborne and Soulslike games, my first playthrough was quite casual. I explored and tackled challenges without much concern for the optimal strategy. I approached it as any typical gamer would, enjoying the experience and attempting to defeat bosses, even when I was underleveled. Thankfully, I managed to push through before deciding to focus on overleveling, as I wasn’t "streaming" my progress.

Overall, I thoroughly appreciated the stunning graphics and the intense boss fights. However, I wasn’t a fan of the mechanic in the Mohg fight, where a specific item is required to weaken him—this kind of gameplay feels frustrating and detracts from the challenge. Despite this, Elden Ring is challenging to master offline, especially without guides or friends. Its open world is filled with hidden items and stories that can significantly impact your progress, making each discovery feel rewarding.

While I’d love to dive deeper into this franchise, I plan to focus on earning a few more platinum trophies before exploring any DLC content.

Here’s a glimpse of my clips beating the bosses in Sekiro. They may not be pro-level, but I did my best to minimize the number of attempts to defeat them. I know there are guides out there to make it easy or cheese them but I did it without using guides.

19th Platinum! Sekiro! 🥳Took me 2 weeks but finally!!!

I gotta say, out of all the Soulslike games I've platinumed (list below), Sekiro has the most satisfying battle mechanics by far. It really pushes your skill to the limit. This is the true definition of "git gud." In other Soulsborne/like games, you can always level up and overpower your enemies, but in Sekiro? Nope, you're on your own.

Right now, I'm playing Elden Ring, and honestly, it hasn't felt that tough so far—except for Mohg, who took me 10 tries to beat (I only found out after I got my Nagakiba that there’s a talisman to weaken his AOE leech skill). Malenia was fine with the right level and build, though—beat her on my 5th try at around level 142, so I was probably a bit overleveled when I faced her. Everything's been pretty smooth since then, and I just need to finish two more endings to get the platinum there too. Overall experience is very good.

Excited to dive into more Soulslike/Borne games soon!

Platinumed Soulslike/Borne so far:

• DS3
• Bloodborne
• Ghost of Tsushima
• Nioh 1
• Code Vein
• Sekiro

Here's a glimpse of my gameplay against the duo Cannoneer and Blade Bearer, as well as the final boss in Code Vein. The duo is considered one of the toughest bosses in the game. While challenging, I'm no stranger to tough duo battles, as Nioh 1 already tortured me with its own duo bosses.

Late upload. 18th Platinum for this year 2025.

This game is highly engaging, with a rich narrative that feels like an anime. It's true when they say it's like Dark Souls but with an anime twist.

The emotional depth of each character's backstory adds layers, making the journey even more impactful.

In terms of difficulty, it's fairly easy thanks to the companion system. Focusing on maximizing iFrames and avoiding reckless attacks helps a lot. The only major issue was the Medal of Honor, which took about 16 hours of grinding to unlock.
