Meanwhile, look at what is happening in Marikina where Cong. Stella Quimbo is running for mayor, against the incumbent mayor's wife, Maan Teodoro.

Nearly the entire CITY COUNCIL (except for about 3), the VICE MAYOR, Marion Andres and the MAYOR himself, Marcy Teodoro have been preventively suspended for SIX MONTHS by the Ombudsman.

Mayor Teodoro himself ran into early problems on his candidacy for congress in the 1st District of Marikina, after his certificate of candidacy was cancelled by COMELEC. He is appealing the decision.

This makes us wonder. So many admin candidates are running unopposed, and now this. Stella Quimbo whose image was grossly tarnished by her role in the 2025 budget and in her interesting (and possibly expensive) bags and other luxury items, is now facing a clear path to the mayoralty.
