It’s hard to put into words my love and admiration for Samantha Crain - . Her music has always meant so much to me, she’s the reason I started the label. So when she sent me this new album, I was so excited to press play. But it’s exceeded all expectations. It’s so unequivocally her, full of life and meaning, unique and inspirational, it really reminds me of why I fell in love with music in the first place. Real Kind Records

Real Kind Records is an independent record label launched by British musician Lucy Rose in January 2020.

The plan to launch her own record label has been an idea long since considered by Lucy. Ever since stepping away from her major label record deal following the top 10 release of her second album, she has sought to remain fiercely independent in almost all aspects of her life. Coupled with a passion for discovering and unearthing new artists, Real Kind feels like a natural extension of combining those two key elements, and helping to put a spotlight on young artists making their tentative first steps, or those that are deserving of so much more attention than they’ve had.

Welcoming US singer-songwriter Samantha Crain as the label’s debut signing, Real Kind’s maiden release will beCrain's new album, " A Small Death " on the 1st May 2020.
