Five love songs for the time-ridden, mouldy Catholic c***s;
Praised be and exalted
With words and tunes
Those saints of old age,
Who their fate and devotion wage,
Only lubricated by Christ's breath!

“Benediction, Part 2” cultivates the same derelict impulse first heard on Sodality’s 2020 debut, “Gothic”, and sharpened further on “...Part 1”. This is Black Metal stripped of pretence, carrying all the hallmarks of esoteric warfare and devotion pushed to its breaking point. Five hymns for ruinous faith echo through a cathedral of spiritual collapse, upheld by the smothered breath of saints, the weight of silence, and the violence of belief. Guided by bursts of inspiration rather than deliberation, the material retains the immediacy of its creation. The riffs and melodies are swampy, evil, and suffocating, just like the Catholic sense of morality and the divine.

Sodality’s place within the NoEvDia catalogue traces back to the late Finnish artist Timo Ketola, editor of Dauthus – arguably the ultimate printed incarnation of the quintessential Death and Black Metal spirit. Dauthus also existed as a small but fiercely curated label, and it was in this capacity that Sodality were brought to our attention.

Timo’s steadfast conviction – that Sodality’s early material was a ‘self-inflicted gun wound, possibly even partly unintentional’ – paved the way for his label’s first music title since 2009, when Dauthus, NoEvDia, and The Ajna Offensive co-released Teitanblood’s debut.

After he completed the LP layout for “Gothic” but before it took physical form, Timo passed away – yet his impetus defined the trajectory which led to the ongoing “Benediction” cycle. “…Part 2” follows that same line of transmission: stark, intuitive, and drawn from the same raw nerve Timo recognised at the beginning.

We are proud to unveil the first song taken from the debut album “Ex Nihilo Ad Nihilum” by Inritvm.

Bicephalous entity, Inritvm formalised “Ex Nihilo Ad Nihilum” within a collective comprised of individuals active since the ‘90s.

Syht (Haemoth) and Akhaeus (Bael) laid the foundations – both new and deeply rooted in a claimed and embraced heritage – whose embodiment drew upon the contributions of Yhrm (Deviant), Hth (Haemoth), MkM (Antaeus), Aguares (Bael), and Ablass (6666).
What one could describe as resolutely nihilistic Black Metal, fuelled by the layered experiences of its contributors, is based on the cold pronouncement of an undeniable truth: all is vanity; all that exists is doomed to fade into naught.

The entirety of it assumed shape from 2022 through an iterative and decidedly exploratory method – a prolonged process at once guided and of unbounded definition.

If a paradox must needs be forged to articulate that which is not, it is but the stark illustration of impotence, a confession, a confusion.

The inherent contradiction of expressing nothingness has guided the artistic approach embedded within this work. Tangiblyd, the piece aims to represent a form of chaos, emptiness, a descent into the void – delivered through tones and playing built on a ‘traditional’ Black Metal praxis interspersed with noisier passages. The result is a sound both coherent and exploratory, paired with a visual approach by Metastazis that is equally abstract and materially vertiginous.

This is no more about darkness than it is about light. Yet in the void, none can fail to envision the presence of that which corrupts.

Treha Sektori's “Rejet” is finally available on black vinyl, and comes with a splendid 32-page booklet, size 30x30cm.

Besides serving as an expression in the instinctive language inherent in the Treha Sektori project, ‘rejet’ is French for ‘rejection’.

In the dictionary of corporeal modification, rejection occurs when an impulse leaves the body. As mirrored in the first edition of Treha Sektori in literary format – a book entitled The Sensation of Being one of Them – it assumed the form of a primal emotional state. A quixotic reflection, like a mirage, but still deeply felt. Here, rejection is imbued in the process of shedding flesh and replacing it with armour. Scales that no arrow could ever pierce without being absorbed. A body able to drink unscathed from puddles of purest poison; it is the rejection of the mortal cloak.

“Rejet” is one step further in Treha Sektori’s strife to transcend its own limitations. Each and every medium is linked together. All of the accompanying images are crucial factors for those who wish to understand “Rejet” – vestigial structures of these bodies, and testimonies of their burdens.

Fuelling the choice of the book format on the CD version, was the ironclad will to push ever-onwards – a sentiment deeply echoed in each of these tracks. The tunes themselves provide notation to mental images and help blur the borders between different sensory inputs.

The music morphs from abstract inspirations to percussive pulses: heartbeats and breaths, as if beseeching external energies. The soundscape shows greater compositional confidence than before, ranging from desperate primal screams to the acceptance of wounds and the structured chaos of a trance, with disenchanted voices murmuring in the background. It’s designed to bring you to a place where your feet are stuck in the mud and grime, while your spirit soars freely through the fog.

From the province of Lovecraft’s birth and death rises Destruction Ritual, a transatlantic pact between French and American adversaries. Their debut full-length, “Providence”, descends through cycles of vice, assimilation, and ruin across six venomous acts. This is black metal rooted in both tradition and transgression – an offering bleeding from old wounds that refuse to heal.

Conceived by MkM (Antaeus, ex-Aosoth), TerrorReign (Necroblood), and Arafel, the band once more calls upon the percussive force of Blastum to give their vision flesh. The result is an album shifting between brachial black/death violence and sickly, psychotic melody – arpeggio-driven passages and unnerving samples forming a fractured narrative. Mid-paced dirges erupt into furious outbursts, solos spiral from the gloom, and a suffocating atmosphere of torment lingers throughout.

MkM’s unmistakable voice cuts through it all: lifeless, caustic, steeped in the aura of death. In fact, the concept of “Providence” stems from his need to give form to impulses that resurface in endless repetition. Through a patchwork of soundscapes, samples, and scalding riffs, Destruction Ritual channel this internal chaos into ritual discipline.

Release date: September 12, 2025. Pre-orders are now live on the NoEvDia webshop:

More than just a fusion of diverse influences, the collective Der Märtyrer first emerged aeons ago – birthed from a trance-like state induced by drugs, sleep-deprived experimentation with unconventional textures, and a relentless pursuit of harsh dissonance capable of invoking both ancient and modern evils. The original intent was to expand upon the sonic universe unveiled by acts such as Mysticum and Blacklodge, and to push further by drawing inspiration from The Prodigy, Combichrist, Antaeus, Atari Teenage Riot, In Slaughter Natives, Aphex Twin, and many more...

Over the years, four anthems were crafted – shaped, distorted, deconstructed, and reborn – through unorthodox recording techniques, sound design research, and excessive layering. Each bears the blood of various anonymous artists who contributed to the beast’s evolution. The final manifestation of this creation now reveals itself to the world in ultimate ignominy through End All Life Productions.

It is with delight that we present the inaugural issue of Words as Weapons, wherein you may find interviews of Aethyrick, Aluk Todolo, Angrenost, Vafurlogi, Blackdeath, Drastus, Lucifyre, and Monte Penumbra. Conversations which, perhaps, some amongst you have already perused in their earlier appearance upon our modest web publication.

This printed edition – comprising one hundred and fifty-two pages, committed to Munken Polar Rough stock and bound by an exposed spine sewn with crimson thread – grants these dialogues a permanent abode. The typesetting and design, it bears noting, are the distinguished work of Valnoir.

Furthermore, Words as Weapons #1 is graced with an exclusive Dehn Sora interview. Only the briefest of excerpts have hitherto seen the light of day, as the full exchange – born of eight hours of conversation – spans no less than seventy-five pages. We regard it as a portrait of an artist of uncommon breadth, whose course has oft entwined with that of NoEvDia-affiliated musicians.

In truth, this extended dialogue seeks to peer beneath the surface of creative life – to examine, if such a thing is possible, the very workings by which we come to be what we are. And thus, while the subject remains Dehn Sora – his compositions, his visual art, his temperament – there lies within, perhaps, some universal thread that shall ring true to all who hold a deep and enduring reverence for the arts.

Our most sincere gratitude is extended to all the bands herein featured; the black magic woven into their works serves as a veritable draught of inspiration to kindred spirits.
