JUDICIAL CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCEMENT

Ouachita and Morehouse Parishes,

After prayerful consideration, I am announcing my candidacy for Judge of the 4th Judicial District upon the retirement of Judge Robert Johnson.

I have served this community as an attorney for 25 years, and I have also served this community as a pastor for 28 years. During this time, I have been and remain a public defender across multiple parishes, while also maintaining a private practice focused on family law, as well as criminal and personal injury law.

Through this work, I have represented individuals from all walks of life and have gained a deep understanding of the responsibilities and impact of the judiciary in both civil and criminal proceedings.

My service as a pastor has continually guided me to serve the people with whom I live and work, always striving to lead with compassion, fairness, and integrity.

Through Janet Floyd Ministries, I have worked to uplift and support our community by providing school supplies, toy drives, mentorship services, feeding programs, and other outreach initiatives. For the past two years and currently, I also serve as Executive Director of JRF Outreach (Joining Resources to Families), an organization dedicated to meeting the needs of families throughout our parishes by providing vital services and community support.

I am entering this race with humility, confidence, and a firm commitment to justice, justice that is thoughtful, impartial, and grounded in service to our community.
