“Burna Boy was rejected in America!"

When Burna was ready to start his U.S. tour, he was turned down because there was no evidence or track record, even though he was already a huge star in Africa, selling out stadiums.

Mama Burna: 🗣️ ‘We had to start from scratch, performing in small rooms, taking $12 showers at truck stops because we refused event centers without proof of ticket sales. They said we couldn’t do it. I asked why, and they said, “The only artist who tried didn’t even get halfway.” I replied, “Watch me,” and we did it on our own.
