KINS was purchased by Wendell Adams and a New York investment partner in 1957, changing the call letters from KHUM to KINS at that time.

Locally owned and operated radio stations based out of Eureka CA, broadcasting newstalk, country and light adult contemporary music to Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity and Mendocino County! A long-time CBS affiliate (65+ years), KINS has been the station for information, news and entertainment for the north coast of California. It was the bossman’s birthday! Winston and Stephen had a birthday plan in the works for Brian to enjoy two of his favorite times; baseball and radio, by meeting the broadcasters for the ! He had a blast and we all even rode the ferry in and out of the game (sailing being another of Brian’s loves). Happy birthday, Brian/dad!!

We had our Christmas Party yesterday and it was a blast! From the pizza and entrees from Ferndale Pizza to our infamous Party Ball, we all had a wonderful time! Merry Christmas everyone🎄🎁
