🥃 Dr. Pepper Old Fashioned 🍒

A bold, playful spin on the classic Old Fashioned — rich bourbon meets the nostalgic cherry-vanilla notes of Dr. Pepper, with a balanced sweetness and a sophisticated kick.

Ingredients:
- 2 oz bourbon
- ½ oz Dr. Pepper reduction syrup*
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Ice (large cube preferred)
- Maraschino cherry and orange twist (for garnish)

*Dr. Pepper Reduction Syrup:
- 1 cup Dr. Pepper
- ¼ cup sugar
→ Simmer together until reduced by half and slightly thickened. Cool before using.

Instructions:

1. Make the Dr. Pepper Syrup:
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup Dr. Pepper and ¼ cup sugar.
- Simmer over medium heat until reduced by half (about 10 minutes). Let cool completely.

2. Build the Drink:
- In a mixing glass filled with ice, add:
- 2 oz bourbon
- ½ oz Dr. Pepper syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Stir gently for 20–30 seconds until well chilled.

3. Serve:
- Place a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
- Strain the cocktail into the glass.

4. Garnish:
- Add a maraschino cherry and an orange twist.

5. Enjoy:
- Sip slowly and savor that old-school-meets-new-school flavor magic.
