I'm feasting across cultures and trying cuisines from all over the world.
Today's journey took me down to South India here in London
My takeaway is: India is diverse and the food in major regions are diverse as well.
Northern and Southern food are different and rice is a big part of the cuisine in the south.
I ordered:
1. Ghee Masala Dosa which is a thin rice flake with potatoes and butter on the inside
2. Podi Idly (a steamed rice dough that's then stir fried
3. Idiyappam with Korma (rice noodles with chutney)
4. Channa Batura (an air filled bread that's slightly stretchy and eaten with a sauce)
This is a breakdown from my POV and also chats with native south Indians.
