KIMFF is pretty much a seminal experience for any Nepali Cinephile.

No filler, no “just okay” titles you forget on the way home. These are the kind of stories that sit somewhere between documentary and memory, fiction and feeling.

From quiet personal histories that stretch across generations, to stories of migration, survival, and the small moral compromises cities demand—this lineup isn’t trying to entertain you in a casual way. It’s trying to stay with you.

Some films will make you sit in silence longer than expected. Some will make you think about your own family history a little differently. And some will just quietly break you in ways you didn’t plan for on a festival schedule.

If you’re going to KIMFF, don’t just “catch screenings.”
Pick films that will still be in your head when you’re halfway through your next week.

These are a few you shouldn’t miss.
