📍Beach Bath Hauganes, Iceland

This black beach in a small village of Hauganes, North Iceland, has been a beloved playground for locals. It's the only accessible sandy beach in North Iceland that faces south soaking up the sun. The seabed remains shallow far from shore and the dark sand warms the ocean on sunny days making the Atlantic surprisingly pleasant!

A few years ago, the locals added a couple of hot tubs on the beach, fed by the village's natural geothermal water. It's truly a magical place to unwind!

Backpacking 🎒🥾 adventure in Channel Islands National Park was a blast! We hiked from 🌊 Prisoner's Harbor to Del Norte 🏕️ Campground on Santa Cruz 🏝️ Island. We didn't expected the difficulty but totally worth the reward! The next day, we explore the Pelican 🦢 Bay. There's so much wildlife around his island! If you're into backpacking adventure and wildlife, Channel Islands is a must!

I wish I can tell you the name of this waterfall but I can't. I have checked out the map 🗺 and did some research 💻 yet I still couldn't find it's name! It is on the west side of the Ring Road, north of Grábrók Crater!

📍Deildartunguhver, Iceland

The highest flowing hot springs ♨️ in Europe with a rate of 180 liters per second! 😱😱 Can you imaging how much hot water is that coming out of the ground?! 😬🥵

This spot was not marked on my map 🗺 where I saved a bunch of places that interests me. I found this out while checking out the board of information 💻 at Grábrók.

The very first stop of my exploration! A short 20 minute hike 🥾 on the boardwalk to the top and around the crater 🌋 with 360 view. The Gamla Brekkurétt is an old sheep 🐑 corral just below the crater.

After getting traumatized 😳 that every parking 🅿️ area in Reykjavik has a parking fee 💵 I was so glad to get out of the city! 🙌☺️

I never realized that I have anxiety whenever I ride on a plane ✈️ until someone mentioned it to me. But I think it's normal whenever you're in a situation when you're not in control 🤷🏻‍♀️ Lately, with my recent travels🧳 I've learned that eating meals 🍛😋 instead of snacks helps with my stomach issues and not feeling nauseous while flying. I didn't even took dramamine on this flight! I ate a lot though 😅

I tried to sleep while on the flight but I was wide awake 🫩 the whole time... While passing by Greenland, the other side of the plane was witnessing northern lights! 😮🌌 I was soooo jealous!

I arrived 6am in Iceland 😅 so I had to stay at the airport for an hour and wait for my ride. I was so happy to finally pick up my rental camper van 🚐 and start exploring 🇮🇸 Iceland!!! The very first place I visited since I was already in the city is the famous Reykjavik Rainbow Street 🌈 From there, I just walked the whole strip and quickly realized, what the hell am I doing here?! I should be seeing the wild in this country!!

After picking up groceries at Reykjavik, I felt tired and went to the nearest campsite 🏕 just north of the city. The campground was empty and I checked in at 11am! The attendant asked me where I'm from and laughed at me and commented I was ready for bed 🛌😴 since there's a huge time difference between US and Iceland.

📍Mt Whitney

I'll be better next time! If you remember, I said I don't want to do this climb again anytime soon. I think I'm ready for it again! (mentally) But I would need to train myself with higher elevation hikes to save me from altitude sickness. I think thats my only problem on this hike
