A small dog named Benny is on the road to recovery, while the Madera County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a felony case of animal abuse to hold the responsible person accountable.

His body is riddled with birdshot ammo. His chest is fractured, and his two front legs and back toe are broken.

A Fresno family is one step closer to justice, as one of the accused killers in the 2023 murder of Adriana Gonzales appeared in court Tuesday morning.

Aaminah Norman, 26, who was on the run for more than a year and a half, pleaded not guilty to fatally shooting Gonzales outside a Fresno liquor store.

For Nexstar's Remarkable Women Campaign, I had the honor of highlighting Fresno's first female Police Chief, Mindy Casto.

It was so awesome to put this story together. Not only is Casto a strong leader I admire, but we held our interview prior to her being appointed to the police chief role full-time. I had to rework my script, which turned out to be such an incredible story.

Casto is extremely humble, and within the first five minutes of meeting her, you'll instantly see her deep passion for the Fresno Police Department.
