Here’s everything you need to know before submitting your monologue:

We are preferably looking for actors and actresses based in Limpopo Mokopane and surrounding areas, as the filming will take place in Mokopane.
• Whether you’re experienced or trying acting for the first time, we encourage you to audition! This is your chance to showcase your talent.

🎠Monologue Instructions:
• Feel free to get creative! Play around with your monologue and do what you know best.
• The monologue should be no longer than 2 minutes. You can choose any genre (comedy, drama, suspense) that showcases your range and talent.
• Showcase your understanding of the character’s personality and energy—don’t hold back!

🎬 Casting Director’s Tips for Characters Needed:
Jabu
• Description: A curious, determined man who arrives in the village to uncover a mysterious past. He’s confident, resourceful, and skeptical.
• What We’re Looking For: Actors who can portray curiosity and determination while maintaining a natural sense of humor and adaptability.
• Character Energy: Urban and relatable. Think of someone who’s out of their comfort zone but willing to learn.
Nana
• Description: A charming and cunning village woman who knows much more than she reveals. She’s manipulative, with a sinister undertone.
• What We’re Looking For: Actresses who can balance charisma and menace, effortlessly shifting between warm and mysterious.
• Character Energy: Commanding and enigmatic. A natural presence that draws attention but raises questions.
Mlungisi
• Description: A troubled, erratic villager who appears vulnerable but hides a deeper agenda. He has moments of unpredictability that keep people guessing.
• What We’re Looking For: Actors who can embody chaos and intensity, with brief moments of emotional vulnerability.
• Character Energy: Intense and unfiltered, with layers of depth and unpredictability.
Thandi
• Description: A conflicted young woman who’s loyal yet torn between her feelings for Jabu and her allegiance to Nana. She’s nurturing but holds secrets of her own.
• What We’re Looking For: Actresses who can portray warmth and empathy but also hint at an inner conflict.
• Character Energy: Gentle and emotional, but with an underlying strength.
