Presenting Suta's new retail address in Kochi, a minimalist tropical haven designed by .realty

In a bold design turn, moves away from its signature maximalist aesthetic to curate a quiet, contemplative sanctuary in Kochi. The brand, co-founded by sisters Sujata and Tanya Biswas, entrusted Earth Craft with the vision of a space that celebrates craft not through excess, but through focus and restraint.

The architecture gracefully recedes, becoming a neutral canvas for Suta's vibrant weaves to shine. A palette of raw concrete, warm terracotta, and lush tropical greens defines the store, echoing Kerala's grounded vernacular. At the heart of the space, a monolithic island with a majestic monstera plant anchors the narrative, creating a central zone that feels open and breathable.

Every detail is a nod to intentional design—from the minimal, skeletal racks to the curated glow of terracotta pendant lamps. Even the trial rooms are a delight, lined with tropical wallpaper, making the act of trying on a sari a truly immersive experience.

Designed by architects Nuno Lobo and Jiangtong Wang, CS House redefines the spatial experience of modern living. Set on a triangular plot, this perfectly square volume is carved into a U-shape around a private patio—inviting light, privacy, and clarity into every corner. The residence maintains a monolithic presence on the outside, with minimal openings on the street-facing side, while opening up entirely to the private courtyard, blurring the lines between indoors and outdoors.
Light sculpts the architecture—corner windows pierce the cube, concrete porches blur boundaries, and a calm material palette magnifies its sculptural presence.

Overlooking the breezy shores of Juhu Beach, this compact apartment has been beautifully reimagined by Ikshana Design Studio into a serene coastal retreat. The brief was clear—to transform the existing space into a light-filled, fluid, and tranquil home that resonates with its beachside location. Embracing an organic design language, the studio introduced soft curves, rounded forms, and an open layout that flows effortlessly without harsh edges.

To enhance natural light, additional windows were added, while a soft palette of light-toned flooring and muted walls sets a calm, airy tone. Warm wooden textures and brass accents lend the home an understated elegance, balanced by sculptural furniture and curated décor. Smartly integrated storage niches double as displays for personal artifacts, adding both function and charm.

Tailored to the client’s lifestyle, the home includes a temple space in the master bedroom and a discreet utility zone in the kitchen. Every element—from materiality to detailing—has been carefully curated to craft a refined, contemporary sanctuary. Tucked into the serene countryside of Minho, Casa do Castanheiro by Ar. Francisco Mesquita Moura is a thoughtful revival of rural architecture. What was once a disconnected farmhouse—with no internal link between floors and an adjacent agricultural wing—has been reimagined into a seamless, contemporary retreat. A new corridor now bridges the two volumes, while a sculptural staircase within the main house unifies its vertical flow, allowing the space to breathe and function as a cohesive whole.
The upper level opens to a terrace and garden-facing balcony, blurring boundaries between indoors and out. It’s a home made for slow living—offering nooks for contemplation, connection with nature, and an escape from the urban rush.
Material choices pay homage to the region’s heritage—granite walls, white plaster, and warm blood-red tones root the house in Minho’s architectural vocabulary. Yet, the interiors tell a fresher story: playful green and yellow accents infuse warmth and personality, striking a balance between minimalism and modern vibrancy.
More than just a renovation, Casa do Castanheiro is a poetic fusion of memory, material, and modern sensibility—quietly redefining rural living, one thoughtful gesture at a time.
