Ten finger grip is great for helping you feel the push-pull sensation in your golf swing which helps you fully understand the pivoting action of the golf club. I don’t love everything about it but it can be very effective if utilized properly.

The key to the golf swing of Ryan Fox and the main benefit of his strong grip. It’s all about keeping the lead shoulder in place and feeling the tilt sensation not the turn.

The force you should be focusing more on in your golf swing is the force applied to the handle with your hands. That’s why we created the Force Ball. With its weight and unique design for proper hand placement it’s the best tool to activate and train the force applied through your hands.

3 steps to getting the perfect grip:
1. Pinch thumb and forefinger together while feeling all your fingers sewed that same way. *Look for the muscle!

2. Extend your fingers away from your palms. Basically max cup in both wrists.

3. Curl your fingertips to get your hands to look like the shape of a claw.

Pinches activate the notches and awareness of the thumbs being placed properly. Extension and curls give you the ability to apply force while maintaining good mobility and grip pressure.

The Force Ball is activating your hands and your ability to apply Force away from your body against a surface. Whether that’s a ball or a grip it’s the same application of force and that’s what keeps your elbows together and allows you to control the club’s dynamics.

Viktor Hovland and many others have this forward press feeling when setting up to the ball. This gives their fingers a head start to pivot ‘back’ of the palms. This pivoting action creates the proper pivoting of the club and pinning of elbow in front of body.

Great drill to help you feel that trail elbow stay in front of the body in the backswing which is ultimately making it easier to let the club “do the work”.
