Anne Burrell, the beloved chef and host of ‘Worst Cooks in America,’ died Tuesday morning. She was 55.

The Food Network star, well known for her platinum blonde hair, was found in her home this morning. NYPD told ET that shortly before 8 a.m., officers responded to a call at Burrell’s Brooklyn home, where she was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at the scene. The Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death after an autopsy and the investigation is still on going.

In a statement confirming her passing, Burrell’s family said, “Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered. Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.”

She is survived by her husband, Stuart Claxton, and his son, Javier, as well as her mother, Marlene, and sister, Jane. (📸: Worst Cooks in America)

As women building lives of impact, it’s time we redefine what power looks like. It’s not the 24/7 hustle or the endless sacrifice that creates a legacy. It’s the clarity, alignment, and intentionality we walk in when we’re nourished — spiritually, mentally, and physically.

WWII Hero Anna Mae Robertson of the All-Black, All-Female Six Triple Eight Dies at 101

Blogged by thinktank

Anna Mae Robertson, a member of the legendary Six Triple Eight battalion, the only all-Black, all-female unit deployed overseas during World War II, has passed away at 101. The Milwaukee community honored her remarkable life earlier this year during a heartfelt celebration at Tabernacle Community Baptist Church.

“Mother Anna Robertson was part of the 6888 all-women of color postal battalion unit who served in World War II,” said Pastor Donna Childs. “Their motto was ‘no mail, low morale.’” The Six Triple Eight was tasked with clearing a two-year backlog of military mail. They were given six months, but completed it in just three, setting a historic record.

U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore, who championed legislation to award the unit a Congressional Gold Medal, remembered Robertson as a hometown hero. “I am deeply saddened to learn of Ms. Anna Mae Roberston’s passing… I am thankful that my constituent, Ms. Robertson, was able to receive her flowers while she could still smell them.”

With recognitions from Gov. Tony Evers and the NAACP, Anna Mae Robertson’s trailblazing life continues to inspire generations.

She may be gone, but her legacy still delivers.
