Made some salsa with our zucchini from the kids 🌿garden. Eventhough we had a lot more males than females this year, we were still blessed with few to make this delicious 😋 salsa all summer long.

Zucchini salsa recipe:
2 zucchini
4 garlic
1/2 an onion
3-4 serrano peppers (depending our your choice of spiciness)
2 limes
Salt to taste
*Pan seared low heat to soften it out.
*Blend on high speed until desired consistency.
*Slowly add 1 cup of oil
Pour on bowl 😋 try with chips, on tacos, or any type of meat.

Welcoming our new baby goats, born yesterday to our other dairy goats. A set of twins and a single from our first time mama Darlene 🐐. She is adapting to motherhood and they're all doing well.
°All boys 💙 this season!!
As you can see in the first picture, he is one of the twins and has the longest cutest ears.
On the second pic is Darlene's cutie, he has short ears like her and acts just like her doesn't like to take pictures 📸.

Every year around spring and summer time, our Aloe vera plants start blooming this beautiful Aloe Vera flowers. It means the plant is healthy and ready to reproduce.

Here are their stages from flowering to drying off.

We like to cut off the stalk before it drains the aloe vera plants.

Full of ☀ sunlight, we don't like to over water them neither. With very low maintenance, we add our goat's and rabbit manure for a nutrient boost and growth.

One of our top questions we get is:
(If I get baby 🐥 chicks, how long until they start laying eggs?)

Well if you get them in the Spring time you can expect eggs 🥚 closer to Fall 🍂 and Winter time ❄. That's all depending on the feed and health of your chickens.
If you choose an older hen, depending on the breed you can expect it to start laying eggs around 4 to 6 months of age.

Baby chicks 🐥 are a handful! Along with their cuteness, they require proper lighting to help regulate their body temperature.

✨️First weekend of 2025 ✨️
Wishing EVERYONE a bright and blessed year! Remember there is no day off when your working on the farm 🤠.
Sunday was whole day of getting our animals nice and warm for the cold week in Texas. Keeping an eye out for our 2 nanny goats, any day now 🍼.
It was a whole photo session 📸 as well.

Stay warm ☕ and safe.

Once the chilly weather ☕ knocks on the door, the oven must come on to 365°F 🤠.
Boy do we love to bake 🥐.

Sharing with you one of my kids favorites, we call them "POLVORONES" and this is how we make them!
500g flour (AP)
300g sugar
300g shortening
1 egg
1 Tbs vanilla
10g baking powder
10g baking soda
Food color of your choice.

Steps:
One bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda mix together.
Another bowl sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla incorporate together.
Then combine all ingredients to one bowl.
Spread and shape of your choice, we like them in circles 😋.
Place in cookie pan.

Pre-heated oven to 365°F
15-18 minutes depending on your oven.

The calm after the storm 🐥.
Why is it they choose to be born right during a hurricane? These cuties decided to be born right during Hurricane 🌀 Beryl.

To say that they are our first silver colored chicks 🐣 born on the farm and we are thrilled all our animals were safe and sound after a week without electricity. They made it worthwhile 😉.
