End-of-Season Closeout: Part 2 ⚓️

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes when a season aboard The Wandering Hillbilly comes to an end—and Captain Adam and Chef Jelly V are still at it!

From working through every space onboard to cleaning, organizing, checking equipment, securing gear, and making sure everything is exactly where it needs to be, closeout is all about taking care of the Hillbilly after a season well spent in the BVI.

It may not be the side of charter life you see when you step onboard, but it’s a big part of what keeps the Hillbilly ready for every guest, every adventure, and every season to come.

Part 1 What does "End-of-Season Closeout" actually look like aboard The Wandering Hillbilly? ⚓️

It’s a whole lot more than parking the boat and calling it a season.

Captain Adam and Chef Jelly V are taking you behind the scenes of everything that goes into getting the Hillbilly properly closed out—from clearing and organizing the boat to checking equipment, securing everything onboard, deep cleaning, taking inventory, and making sure every detail is handled.

When you spend a season living, cooking, entertaining, and adventuring on the water, there’s a LOT that goes into wrapping things up the right way.

It may not be the glamorous side of charter life, but it’s all part of keeping The Wandering Hillbilly ready for whatever adventure comes next.

As the season came to an end, Chef Jelly is served up something special to say THANK YOU to the MarineMax Vacations team and everyone behind the scenes who helps keep The Wandering Hillbilly strong, organized, and ready for every adventure.

It takes a whole team to keep this operation running, and we couldn’t do what we do without the people who support us on and off the water.

So, from our crew to yours—thank you for an incredible season and for helping make every Hillbilly adventure possible.
