🎶 The Myles Revolution Live at University Park Parade – August 16, 2025
Here’s a glimpse of what I love to do during parades! This video captures The Myles Revolution performing live while rolling through the University Park, Illinois parade.

I’ve tried to create videos like this for new songs before, but they never seemed to capture the energy and passion quite right—until now. Thankfully, the cameras caught the essence of what I do while I sing.

Who knows? Maybe a performance like this could even serve as an audition for America’s Got Talent someday. 🌟

📜 Learn from the Past — Live Better Today
It’s been said, “He who does not study history is destined to repeat it.” Your life is a story worth telling, and your experiences can become a roadmap for future generations. Keeping a journal or diary not only brings clarity and reflection to your own life, but it also becomes a priceless gift for those who come after you. Start writing today—you’ll bless both your present and the future.

History of quote:
George Santayana (1863–1952) was a Spanish-born philosopher, poet, and Harvard professor who had a knack for condensing deep wisdom into memorable lines. In his 1905 book The Life of Reason, he wrote:

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

Santayana’s point was philosophical, not just historical: he believed human behavior follows patterns, and without awareness of past mistakes—whether personal or societal—we unconsciously reenact them.

Over time, the line was paraphrased into forms like:

“He who does not study history is doomed to repeat it.”

“Those who fail to learn from history are destined to repeat it.”

The phrase really took off during the 20th century when Winston Churchill paraphrased it in speeches, especially during WWII, warning that ignoring lessons from the past could lead to disaster. Because Churchill was so well-known, many people mistakenly attribute the quote to him instead of Santayana.

🇺🇸 Honored to Perform the National Anthem 🎤⚾️

On August 1, 2025, I had the incredible honor of singing The Star-Spangled Banner at the Illinois American Legion Baseball Tournament held at the beautiful Rantoul Family Sports Complex.

This was my first time ever performing the national anthem at a public event—and it quickly became one of the most cherished performances of my life.

A heartfelt thank-you to the American Legion, Scott Eisenhauer of the Village of Rantoul, the Rantoul Family Sports Complex, and especially to my amazing mother, who encouraged my love for music from the very beginning. 🎶❤️

It was truly a moment to remember in Rantoul, Illinois.

🎵 Song History:

The Star-Spangled Banner was written by Francis Scott Key in 1814 after witnessing the American flag still flying over Fort McHenry during the War of 1812. The words were set to the tune of To Anacreon in Heaven, composed by John Stafford Smith.

It became the official national anthem of the United States in 1931 and has since become a powerful symbol of freedom, patriotism, and resilience, often sung at sporting events, public ceremonies, and national holidays.

🎵 Imperfect, But Still Worthy – A Song About Forgiveness ❤️

Perfection may come someday in eternity, but not in this life. This song was born out of a moment of deep disappointment—someone I care about made a choice that really hurt.

Rather than write from my own pain, I chose to write from their perspective—someone who still seeks trust, time, and love, in spite of their mistake.

Forgiveness isn’t always easy, but writing this helped me grow into a better, more unconditional forgiver.

This is more than a song—it's a step toward healing.

🎹 Sitting in with Candy Foster & Shades of Blue – Champaign Live! 🎶

For the second week in a row, I had the honor of playing keyboard—this time with the legendary Candy Foster and the Shades of Blue Band at Champaign Live on Friday, July 25, 2025.

Big thanks to Atrain (the amazing drummer from last week!) for asking me to fill in while the band’s regular keyboardist was booked on another stage.

I almost missed capturing the moment—forgot to hit record 😅—but thankfully, Heath jumped in after the first song and got the camera rolling. The battery held up for nearly the whole set!

It was an unforgettable night of blues, soul, and pure fun.

I was a guest keyboardist with the Remedy Band last Friday July 18, 2025 during the Champaign Live entertainment. It was awesome! Put my camera up and recorded the entire show.

🙏 He Will Lead Me Along — A Song of Trust and Direction 🎶

In a world full of confusion and pressure, there's only one sure guide I can truly depend on—Jesus Christ.

Fear, mockery, and missteps might slow me down, but when I align my life, words, and actions with His perfect example, He leads me with love and purpose—back into His presence.

This song is my testimony that Christ never stops leading those who choose to follow Him. 🌟
