Did you know that the Bible teaches that God has a wife?

The oldest texts in the Bible, in their ancient Hebrew, teach that God has a wife, that their son is Yahweh/Jehovah, and that Yahweh is the head of a whole family of other children of God and His Wife.

Further, the ancient Hebrew texts also explain that their other gods. Not false idol gods, but gods in service with God the Father as part of the Divine Council of Heaven. They all work together to accomplish God's will in Creation.

Further, archaeology confirms it all. Numerous discoveries have shown that the ancient Israelites worshipped God the Father, His Wife, and Yahweh the Son in numerous holy sites throughout all of ancient Palestine.

Why doesn't the Bible in English say all these things? Because of numerous efforts by "reformers" -i.e. heretics and apostates who murdered the prophets and altered the religion of Israel to empower a corrupt group of priests and the king - to alter the texts that would eventually be included in the Bible to try and (imperfectly) eliminate the truth.

This article brings all this information together in one place to show what the revealed God of Heaven is really like and that the God Jews and Christians are worshipping is nothing like the God they do worship.

In fact, only one faith tradition out of all of them actually worships the true God revealed by the ancient prophets and apostles. And that faith tradition is one of the most controversial of all.

The ancient doctrine that God the Father is married and that Jehovah is the Son of God and His Wife are truths that scandalize Christians today. But the evidence, both from the Bible and archaeology, make it an undeniable fact. And that fact proves that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God who restored...

A great Superman movie isn't about cool fights, amazing special effects, or overwhelming spectacle. The stupidest action movie schlock has those in spades. A great Superman movie must have more.

It must have a purpose, a message. It must have hope.

Because that is what Superman is all about - Hope.

In this article I look at the latest Superman movie and judge it against this harshest and most difficult of criteria:

Does Superman in this movie inspire in me hope for myself, my world, and my fellowman? Does this movie leave me with the desire to want to make the world around me a better place? Does it give me hope?

I explore the central message of this movie, the inevitable conflict between Hope vs. Despair, which one you choose, and which one wins.

In doing so, I explain how Clark exemplifies the Three Great Virtues: Faith, Hope, and Charity in what he believes, what he does, why he does those things, and in his impact on the world around him.

This article is about what it means to be Superman and how this movie understands and tries to fulfill that meaning, which results in making it a great Superman movie.

The new Superman movie premieres this weekend. Despite its flaws, it is a fantastic movie with a fantastic moral compass and message. In this article I review what the movie has to say about hope, despair, and the Three Great Virtues: Faith, Hope, and Charity (the pure love of Christ.)

"Opportunities for development of spiritual and intellectual potential are equal. Masculinity has no monopoly on the mind, and femininity has no exclusive dominion over the heart. ...Loving parent. What a noble title! There are no greater roles in life for a man than those of husband and father. Likewise, there are no greater roles for a woman than those of wife and mother."

-Prophet Russell M. Nelson, shown with someof his children and descendants below.

In the USA, the Fourth of July is Nationalist Christmas. It is the Nativity of America, a rival God in opposition to God of Israel. America is an idol and the Fourth of July is the orgiastic celebration of that idol. The Fourth of July is a day of idol worship through and through.

In this article, the focus is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, what the scriptures and prophets of God have taught us about the commandments of the Lord, their power to transform society and create Zion - a society of peace without poverty, war, or hatred.

This article contrasts that with the manner in which the nations of the world worship power, greed, s*x - how they rule through violence and slaughter. Ultimately, it points out how the nations of the world serve Satan and carry out his purposes of hatred and misery upon the Earth. The United States is a primary example of this in action.

Finally, the call is to repent, to change and become better by becoming holier. Our focus should never be on the kingdoms of men and obedience to the powers of the world. Rather, we should love and serve God with all our individual heart, might, mind, and strength.

Only in doing so can we overthrow the powers of blood and horror upon the Earth.

Worship, love, and serve God, not man.

I find nothing to celebrate on the Fourth of July. It, like all nationalist holidays, is nothing more than the largest, loudest, and obnoxious propaganda program that has ever existed. Through all the parades, fireworks, and barbeques, people rarely ask what exactly are they so effulgently praising....

“Everyone has pain somewhere, and our challenge is to find out where the pain is. Usually it’s not physical pain but comes in the stress of living. The patient is always the expert.

This is what we try to teach the missionaries. When you meet someone, find out how we can help them. The Church literally has the capacity to help people no matter what their problem is. The gospel exists to help people.” - Prophet Russell M. Nelson

Thinking about the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a list of restrictions misses the point. Taking care of our body comes with a list of Do's and Don'ts if we want to minimize the pain we experience. (For example: Do exercise daily. Don't eat a ton of junk food.) These aren't restrictions on your life, rather they are what you must do to maximize your potential for a long, joyful life.

This is exactly true of the Gospel. The commandments of God are not restrictions on you. Rather, they are the instructions on how to have the greatest amount of joy in a life with the least amount of pain possible. To stop living the Gospel doesn't make you freer or happier, it only increases the amount of pain in your life and the lives of those around you.

For the Latter-day Saints, there is no question about what to do in a war with Iran. Modern revelation makes it absolutely clear.

Killing another person is the most heinous crime anyone can commit. So horrific that we are forbidden from killing another human being for any reason.

We are warned that any Latter-day Saint that kills another human being will not be forgiven of that sin either in this life or in the life to come. Those that kill others damn themselves forever.

We are commanded to renounce war for any reason, in all it's forms, at all times, and in all places.

War is a form of idolatry that worships the strength of men and serves the cause of Satan.

Therefore the question of a war with Iran is simple. We must always be in opposition to it. War is evil. Killing others is evil. Those that do so love and worship Satan in opposition to God.

The voice of the Lord to the Saints today is loud and sharply clear: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Thou shalt not steal; neither commit adultery, nor kill, nor do anything like unto it. (D&C 59:6) Notice the Lord does not say "murder,""shed innocent blood," nor give any other exemption. N...

This is the story of two deaths. The death of my father and the death of my friend’s father.

They both died of similar illnesses – systemic cancer that ravaged their body beyond the ability of present-day science to repair. But it isn’t their cause of death that is meaningful.

What is meaningful is how people reacted to their deaths.

In their lives and in their deaths, we can see the quiet but profound impact that living the Gospel can have not only in the life of the disciple but on all those around him or her.

This may be the tale of two deaths, but it is also the tale of two lives – one of tragedy, one of victory, and the hope to be found in Christ for us all. This is about what it means to truly be a father.

This is the story of two deaths. The death of my father and the death of my friend’s father. They both died of similar illnesses - systemic cancer that ravaged their body beyond the ability of present-day science to repair. But it isn't their cause of death that is meaningful. Why don't just outright buy Jackson County at this point? Thanks to my back of the napkin Google math, it can't cost more than $400 billion to purchase.

With an estimated wealth of 236 billion in 2022, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints could potentially cover all of its current expenses forever with returns from current investments

Apocalypse is a repeated theme in the Book of Mormon. It is almost Mad Max-ian or Fallout-like in its theme of survival after the end of of the world.

The book opens with refugees fleeing the looming destruction of Jerusalem.

The destruction of the Nephite people is one of the most important lessons in the Book of Mormon.

The book ends with the fratricidal genocidal self-destruction of the Jaredites, which acts as both prequel and sequel to the destruction of the Nephites.

And the last words of the book are a lone survivor wandering the landscape, being hunted by his victorious enemies.

These civilizational apocalypses serve as warnings about what happens to individuals, communities, and nations which abandon their covenants with God and forsake His commandments.

At times throughout our history, members of the church have tried to capture in verse the horrors of that self-destructive moment, and the warning it should provide us today, through the eyes of its last surviving member, Moroni.

These lost LDS Classics below are two such powerful and instructive attempts.

This article looks at two lost LDS Classic poems that look at the tragedy, loss, bloodshed, horror, destruction, and suffering caused by personal and communal apostasy from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These poems, one from 1836 and another from 2001, do this through the eyes and experiences of the M...

On a day where we are bombarded with military and statist propaganda endlessly justifying robbery and mass murder, I have to tell the truth.

The pro-state, pro-military lies that inundate us and glorify killing are the very opposite the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So much that the government can correctly be denounced as anti-Christ.

The Gospel demands that we renounce violence and fear as means to achieving our social, political, or economic ends. The Gospel is the message of the Prince of Peace and Peace is the product of true Gospel living.

If we wish to truly have peace then we must fully embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ and embrace His power to protect us and transform us, to create the better, safer world we all long for.

In speaking on the issue of government violence, I address multiple ways the government uses violence against us - such as the War on Drugs, the War on Terror, the US military, and the idolatry of worship weapons as if they can keep you safe.

Ialso talk about missionary work, serving our enemies, loving those who hate us, thetrue source of safety, theonly sure means of achieving peace, and the way to build Zion.

Today I want to share a talk that a friend of mine delivered the Sunday before Memorial Day in 2017. He used Apostle Dieter F. Uchtdorf's General Conference address, "Perfect Love Casteth Out Fear," to counter the endless bombardment of propaganda that takes place at this time. My friend told the tr...

This is the Holy Week portion of our Easter Advent Celebration.

It starts with the triumphal entry on Palm Sunday.

Next, it looks at the cleansing of the temple by Christ on Monday.

Then we look at the the betrayal of Judas on Wednesday and the warning it provides all of us now.

On Thursday, we look at the suffering of Christ in Gethsemane as He took upon Himself the sins, sorrows, and sicknesses of the world.

Friday we study the Crucifixion and Christ's redeeming love.

Saturday explores Christ’s ministry in the Spirit World, His inauguration of the preaching of the Gospel to the Dead, and the purpose of temples in the redemption of the Dead.

Sunday celebrates His triumphant return as the Resurrected Lord and the joys and promises it brings to us today.

Each day includes scriptures, quotations from church leaders, hymns, videos, and free activities for families to read, sing, watch, and do together as you seek to focus their Easter celebrations on the Savior Jesus Christ.
