To anyone disappointed with their A-level results today, I got three D's.
I didn't go to university and moved to London at 17 with a very clear plan: to become an actress. A notoriously secure profession with excellent earning potential.🙄
Since then I've written a book, built my own business, somehow acquired an acting agent again and, amongst other things, make a living arsing about on social media.
I now work for myself, live in a five-bedroom house and pay our two children's private school fees entirely from my own income.
So please don't panic.
Your A-level results are not your destiny. Although, in my case, they were probably a fairly accurate assessment of my academic ability.
Apparently three Ds don't stand for 'Destitute', 'Doomed' and 'Done For' after all.
