The Cabinet Committee on Legislation has approved the draft of the “historic” , clearing its path to be presented before the Provincial Assembly for ratification and enactment into law.

At least five people were killed and 29 were injured in a blast at a rally of the National Party-Mengal ( -M) at Quetta’s Shahwani Stadium on Tuesday night.

A statement from the Balochistan said the blast occurred at a rally of the BNP-M and listed five dead and 29 injured in the incident.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee ( ) on Sunday stated that it will continue its “peaceful” Islamabad sit-in, now in its 40th day, a press release from the group said.

The Islamabad sit-in began on July 16, with BYC leaders and members demanding the release of its activists. Its chief, Dr and other activists were arrested on March 22 for allegedly attacking Civil Hospital and inciting violence, a day after police cracked down on their protest.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee ( ) on Sunday stated that it will continue its “peaceful” Islamabad sit-in, now in its 40th day, a press release from the group said.

Train drivers are up in arms over being held responsible for recent derailments and accidents, and warned of initiating a country-wide strike if (PR) continued to use ‘faulty’ wagons.

“We are really worried that the drivers are being held responsible for the derailments and accidents despite the fact the such untoward events are happening because of the brakeless wagons and coaches. Though, after recent instructions, the situation has improved in the passenger train operations with shortened train composition by excluding faulty coaches, the use of brakeless wagons in goods’ trains is still continued,” explained PR Train Drivers Association ( chapter) President Karim Bakhsh

At least one passenger died while 33 were injured after four coaches of the Karachi-bound train derailed and overturned late last night in Punjab’s , Rescue 1122 said on Sunday.

According to a statement from Rescue 1122, the Awami Express train was travelling from Lahore to Karachi when the incident happened.
