Nobody tells you that one of the hardest parts of summer break is keeping the kids entertained without relying on screens. 😅
When I came across this wagashi-making kit, I thought it would just be another fun activity. But it turned into a mini cultural experience for my kids and their cousins. 🍡🇯🇵
I also learned that wagashi is a traditional Japanese sweet that’s been part of Japanese culture for over 1,000 years. It’s often called edible art because each piece is carefully shaped and inspired by nature and the changing seasons.
What I loved most was seeing the kids get creative, follow the step-by-step guide, and enjoy making something with their own hands. And yes… surprisingly, they were delicious too! 🤭💕
