Nurturing care through service, the UNO-R Student Nurses Organization (SNO) and College of Allied Medical Health Sciences Student Council (CAMHSSC) took the initiative at the DOH Wellness Clinic with the theme โSa Bagong Pilipinas, Bawat Buhay Mahalagaโ at the 3rd Floor, Northwing, Government Services, SM City Bacolod, July 2-4.
โIt feels fulfilling to know that, in our own small way, we became part of a milestone in public healthcare โ a moment in history that will continue to grow, and we were there when it all began,โ SNO President Ma. Tiara Limpangog said.
Limpangog also shared that the DOH Wellness Clinic offers a variety of medical services, including OB consultations, nutrition consultations, and free deworming, following a structured daily schedule.
Nursing students assist with tasks such as taking vital signs, measuring height and weight, conducting patient interviews, and endorsing the patients to the attending doctor.
The mentioned specialized services take place in the morning, while general consultations are held in the afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., accommodating up to 20 clients per day, as the clinic operates under Alagang Corazon, which is managed by the healthcare workers from Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH).
Moreover, SNO also attended the Grand Launching Ceremony of the DOH Wellness Clinic on July 8.
