Donald Trump's Statement on the Sudan
War (19 November 2025)

The conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) began in April 2023, has killed tens of thousands of people and caused massive displacement. 
• Trump’s announcement signals a potential shift in U.S. engagement — moving from relatively low-profile to more active involvement (albeit prompted by Saudi request).
• Cooperation with Gulf & regional partners (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt) could change dynamics of mediation and peace-process efforts.
