🗻 Add Mount Fuji to your Tokyo itinerary!!
Most people visit Tokyo and never leave the city…
but some of our favourite memories from Japan were actually outside of it 😍
We’d highly recommend spending a few days around the Mount Fuji area if you can for the best chance of clear weather, but if you’re short on time, this exact day trip worked perfectly for us!

Here’s our Mount Fuji day trip route 👇🏼
🚌 Tokyo → Shimoyoshida (around 2 hours)
Sit on the left side for a chance to see Mount Fuji on the way!
⛩️ Shimoyoshida
• Honcho Street views
• Streets around Honcho Street
• Chureito Pagoda views from the top
🚉 Train to Kawaguchiko (15 mins)
🏞️ Kawaguchiko
• The famous Lawson spot
• Kawaguchiko Ropeway views
• Sunset at Lake Kawaguchi
🚍 Head back to Tokyo (2–3 hours)
