Cheers and excitement filled the covered court as Steven Lloyd Frondozo and Lhans Aleno Bo, both from the Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education (BCAEd), were crowned Mr. and Ms. SJCC 2025 during the highly anticipated pageant held as part of San Jose Community Collegeโs (SJCC) Foundation Week on April 25, 2025.
Frondozo stood out among the gentlemen and also bagged multiple special awards, including Best in Production Number, Mr. Photogenic, and Best in Ramp. Matching his win, Bo dazzled the audience and judges alike, earning the titles Best in School Uniform, Ms. Social Media, Best in Swimsuit, Best in Ramp, and Best in Advocacy before being crowned Ms. SJCC.
Aside from the main titles, the event also recognized other outstanding participants. Jay Siat Briton (BSEd) was awarded Mr. Foundation along with Best in Festival Attire. Meanwhile, Jesriel Princess Mercano (BSEd) claimed the Ms. Foundation title and bagged Ms. Congeniality, Best in Festival Attire, and Best in Modern Filipiniana.
The titles of Mr. Ambassador and Ms. Ambassadress were awarded to Leonard Fabicon Benitez and Khyna Charise Valenzuela, both from the Marketing Management (MM). Benitez also secured the awards for Best in School Uniform and Best in Trunks.
The 1st runner-up titles went to Ron Michael Talavera (FM) and Romela Abion (ABSECOHM). Talavera also took home the Mr. Congeniality award.
Other candidates also received notable recognitions. Julienne Mary Burac from the BEED program was awarded Best in Production Number. Mark Vincent Divina of ABSECOHM earned multiple special titles, including Mr. Social Media, Best in Advocacy, and Best in Modern Barong. Meanwhile, Maila Aguenza Caรฑa (FM) was awarded Ms. Photogenic for her natural charm in front of the camera.
The pageant highlighted the beauty, confidence, and advocacy of SJCC students. Held during the annual Foundation Week celebration, it received strong support from faculty, students, and families, marking it as a standout event in the schoolโs calendar. | via Joshua Buendia and Khim Aliza Carmen
