🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday to the United States Army 🇺🇸
Today we honor 250 years of service, sacrifice, and steadfast commitment to defending our nation and its ideals. Since June 14, 1775, the U.S. Army has stood as a pillar of strength and resilience—leading in times of war, rebuilding in times of peace, and shaping the course of our shared American story.
From Valley Forge to Vicksburg, Normandy to the Middle East, and everywhere in between, generations of soldiers have answered the call with courage, integrity, and unwavering dedication.
As we commemorate this milestone, we reflect on the words of General Ulysses S. Grant, who led the Union Army to victory in the Civil War and later served as our 18th President:
“Although a soldier by profession, I have never felt any sort of fondness for war, and I have never advocated it, except as a means of peace.”
Grant’s humility and deep sense of duty remind us that the Army’s strength has always been rooted in its people—those who serve not for glory, but for the hope of a better, freer world.
To every soldier past and present: thank you. 🇺🇸
