As we pass the halfway mark of Ramadan, we at Submissions feel the weight of this blessed month passing. Before it slips away, we pause to reflect on Allah’s beautiful names, seeking closeness to Him in these remaining days.

On the 17th of Ramadan, we remember the Battle of Badr, a pivotal moment in Islamic history where Allah’s divine support granted victory to the outnumbered and under-resourced Muslims.

This day beautifully reflects Allah’s name Al-Nasir (النَّاصِر) — The Helper and Supporter.

Despite facing overwhelming odds, the believers triumphed through unwavering faith and Allah’s assistance.
As mentioned in the Qur’an: “And already had Allah given you victory at Badr while you were few in number...” (Surah Al-Imran 3:123).

The name Al-Nasir reminds us that no challenge is too great when we place our trust in Him. May this day inspire us to seek Allah’s help in our struggles, knowing that His support is always near 🤲

We’re thrilled to announce our second live event; an interactive workshop! We’re envisioning a storytelling jam sesh where together we’ll reflect on moments that have brought us clarity, and the stories that unfold around them.

We love a full circle moment and we also love an analogy…

The extent of Allah’s sufficiency is entirely incomprehensible, a wonderful reminder as we head into the last week of Ramadan. Let’s actively increase the amount for which we’re asking and pleading, He swt is limitless and He loves to give.

When you’ve found yourself in a tight spot, life feels like it’s constricting around you, each turn delving you deeper into the maze…and relief arrives. In the form of a helping hand or a companion for the road. There are times when we feel Allah’s provision so keenly through the people He sends our way.

In rays of sun glistening upon endless expanses of water.
Resplendent forces of creation.
The hum of silence, concealing a whole host of unseens.
Solitude yet never really alone.
In being drawn to souls, the ones who have stood at our shoulders before.
But the magnetism is not of this world.
An unassuming seed of resolve when resolve seemed all but lost.
Growing into a long awaited turning of tides.
And when forehead finally greets ground, yearning for rest.
We remember Him, the Most Glorified, the Most High.
