Today, Hon Joseph Ticha Tonui held a meeting with CS lands Hon Zachary Njeru and elected leaders from Nakuru County. Our discussions revolved around important development topics such as land titling, affordable housing, and markets.
During the meeting, I specifically requested the CS to expedite our appeal regarding the removal of the caveat that has been placed on a significant portion of Kuresoi land. This caveat has had detrimental effects, as it has made title deeds ineffective for securing loans from financial institutions, and it has also significantly lowered the value of land in the affected area.
I am pleased to report that progress is being made, and the government is committed to resolving this issue promptly.
