I made the easiest (and most delicious) lemon bars for Easter, recipe from Anita .thistle.kitchen , and they were a huge hit with the family! 💛
I baked them yesterday with my best ingredients (a friend's homegrown California lemons, vanilla bean paste & butter for the shortbread crust) and they chilled in the fridge overnight so they could be perfect today! Imagine a sharp, fragrant lemon filling contrasting with the buttery snap of the cookie crust 😍 just heavenly for lemon lovers like myself!
I'm out of practice with food photography but they were too beautiful on the counter to not snap a couple photos. I was inspired by the way Anita sliced her bars into rectangles instead of squares, so I followed suit!
