Wisconsin women built different. (Article in comments)

My first year bowhunting public land in Wisconsin turned out to be more intense and emotional than I ever expected.

I was tucked into some thick cover, hunting from the ground with my bow, when it happened. A big mature buck started working his way right toward me — broad daylight, no clue I was there. This wasn’t private land with food plots and tree stands. This was raw, pressured, public ground, and I was on foot, eye-to-eye with a giant.

I slowly drew back and held… heart pounding… every part of me screaming to take the shot. But it wasn’t right. The angle, the brush — something in my gut told me not to force it.

That moment tested everything I’ve learned this season. Hunting public land with a bow is a grind. It’s unpredictable, brutal, and full of disappointment… but then something like this happens, and it all makes sense.

This video is real, raw, and straight from the woods. No high fence. No fancy gear. Just me, a bow, and a giant buck that gave me a shot I had to pass.

If you’ve ever hunted public land, you’ll understand.

Thanks for watching. Subscribe for more public land hunts, outdoor adventures, and raw moments from the woods.

While testing out an overlooked pack of spoons from Walmart, I ended up catching the biggest rock bass I’ve ever landed. This wasn’t just a fluke either — the lure was dialed, and the bite was on. 🎣🔥

I wasn’t even targeting rock bass, but when this tank hit, I knew I had something different. Whether you’re a panfish ju**ie, multi-species angler, or just love a surprise catch, this one’s worth watching.

This clip is part of a full video where I put a $10 pack of Walmart spoons to the test — and the results seriously surprised me.

I was landing fish after fish while filming a video alone.

Then I hear it, across the river —

“Can I come there by you?”

I looked up and saw a guy standing on the other side, rod in hand, watching me haul in fish after fish.

Now I’ll be real — in a situation like that, you don’t know what kind of energy someone’s bringing.
Sometimes it’s competitive.
Sometimes it’s awkward.
Sometimes it’s straight up disrespectful.
And I’ve had those encounters… the kind where someone walks right into your space, crowds your cast, or acts like you owe them something.

But this guy? None of that.

He was cool. Chill. Respectful.
I told him, “Hell yeah, come on over.”
We talked fishing. Swapped setups. I even gave him one of the same lures I was using — and I didn’t think twice about it. That’s what this is all about.

He fished by me for a while, just two dudes sharing a productive stretch of water, both of us soaking in the moment. No drama. No ego. Just how it should be.

đź’ˇ The Lesson:
You don’t need to guard your spot like it’s sacred ground.

You don’t need to hoard the bite and act like you discovered fire.

We’re all just out here trying to enjoy the same thing — and when someone brings respect and positive energy, it only makes the day better.

This was one of those rare moments that reminded me why I love doing this — not just the fishing, but the human side of it. These encounters are few and far between, and I wanted to share it.

This moment was just one piece of a full day catching a good amount of fish on one of the simplest and most effective lures I love to use.

If you liked this clip, you’ll love the full adventure.

Thanks for watching — and shoutout to that guy. Real one.

Ozark Trail. Walmart’s bold attempt at saying “Hey, what if we made fishing gear… but worse?”

I bought their $2 topwater frog — again — because apparently I like being disappointed. Is it actually a scam? Or do I just suck at fishing? You decide.

This video has it all:

A suspiciously calm and beautiful sunrise 🌅

Me questioning my life choices while missing bass after bass

A frog lure that drinks more water than me on leg day

And just enough success to keep me from launching it into the woods

By the end, I’m not sure if I was scammed, or if Walmart just gaslit me into thinking I don’t know how to fish. Either way, I gave it a fair shake — and a few squeezes.

🔥 Comment your thoughts.

What started as a chill solo fishing session turned into one of the sketchiest moments I’ve had in a long time.

I spotted two guys way down the riverbank—nothing unusual at first, until one locked eyes with me from a distance. The look on his face set off alarms. Cold. Blank. Something wasn’t right.

They kept inching closer, creeping through the brush like they were trying not to be seen—except they wanted to be seen. Staring at me through the trees, then walking right up. No fishing gear. No small talk. Just standing there, pretending to look at the trees while burning holes through me with their eyes. I said “how's it going?” and got nothing back. Not a word. Just more silence.

It didn’t feel like curiosity. It felt like a setup.

My instincts screamed leave...now. So I packed up my gear, called my dog, and got out of there fast. Relocated upriver and talked it out on camera while the adrenaline was still fresh.

Here’s the takeaway: if you're out fishing solo—never let your guard down. Trust your gut. Pay attention to body language. And don’t assume everyone out there has good intentions. Situational awareness isn’t optional. It's survival.

I hit the Walmart fishing aisle and walked out with a $10 pack of spoons that most anglers overlook. Today, I’m putting them to the test on the river—solo mission, two GoPros, drone shots, and a dog that’s hotter than the sun. Caught a handful of fish, made a few new friends, and brought the vision to life. This isn’t just another budget challenge—this is real fishing, real fun, and proof you don’t need $400 in gear to catch fish.

Whether you're a beginner looking for solid lures or just want to chill and enjoy some raw Midwest fishing vibes—this one’s for you.

This has to be one of my favorite purchases I've ever made! I picked up a used Old Town Sportsman Saranac 16ft square back canoe and a 90's 3hp Evinrude motor. It's the perfect little setup to get out on the water cheap and easily. We took it out to the lake for it's maiden voyage and caught a handful of nice fish. It turned out to be a successful first outing. I've had this set up for a few years now and I've taken it out on many trips. It's been super awesome to have. If you're looking for a cheap and easy way to get out on the water, see if you can find something like this on Marketplace!
