GIVE YOUR KING A BEAUTIFUL GIFT: WORSHIP HIM IN THE WAITING
MARIEL VILLARREAL, COLOMBUS, GA

For the ones standing in the hallway of transition, Yahweh is leading you forward into the new and unknown. For those in the "valley of decision," he is getting ready to break open a new way.

I recently dreamed that I was standing in a long, bright white hallway with every door shut to my right and my life. I knew the only way to go was forward toward the shut door at the end. As I stood there, I heard someone worshipping in the room to my right. They were singing praise to God in the middle of the transition season, before the doors into the next transition opened up. I knew that I, too, was supposed to worship in the time of transition.

Choosing to worship in the middle of the unknown is a beautiful gift to King Jesus. It's a fragrant act of TRUST and FAITH. As we worship, he starts to make a way forward. We can spend our time worrying about what's to come and if God will come through for us... or we can be filled with WONDER and WORSHIP in the hallway.

Sometimes, God doesn't open a door until the timing is right. Sometimes, he will keep every door shut to hedge us in to preserve us for the right thing at the right time. He keeps us in the hallway of transition on purpose. It's here where we get to trust him when we are in the waiting room.

So, for those at the crossroads of change, he will lead you forward into the right paths he has for you this year.

"This is what the LORD says: 'Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls...'" (Jeremiah 6:16 NIV)

Proverbs 3:5–6 (NLT) says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take."

I heard the Lord say, “Take the Wild Leap of Faith and watch me work!”

When God begins to prepare us for a new thing—a new opportunity, a new change, or a new season of life, there's often a gap between where we currently are and where He wants to take us.

We need a fresh measure of faith to take the leap into the new thing!

Taking the leap can challenge our mindsets and bring up valid questions…

Will God be there to catch me when I jump to the other side?
Will God still provide?
What will happen if it doesn't work out, if I fail or if I fall?

What if we asked from a heart filled with faith instead? ➡️
I feel the invitation to ask our hearts questions filled with faith instead…

What IF it all works out better than I can imagine on the other side of your leap of faith?
What IF God has provision for the new vision, and it exceeds my wildest hopes?
What IF your movement forward gets you unstuck and you get the clarity you need as you get moving forward?
What IF the breakthrough Jesus has is just a gap of faith away?

Sometimes you don't know where God is taking you just yet, but all you know if you can't remain where you are anymore.

The good news is, Jesus is our Good Shepherd. He knows how to lead you.
Yahweh will part the way forward like he parted the River Jordan as we take steps forward.

If you're starting to feel that sense of holy restlessness, if you feel God may be calling you to take a wild leap of faith this year, I invite you to pray this prayer…

Dear Father,
I ask for a greater measure of faith to take the leap! Help me to walk by faith and not by sight. Help me to discern your promptings when you are calling me to something new, and let me overcome any fear, doubt, or uncertainty that stands in my way. Help me to cross the gap and step into the new thing! In Jesus' name I pray, amen!
