A 35-Year Movie Podcast Flashback with Matt B. and Brian P.

For the final episode of “Gen-X Multiplex: The Prequel, 1989,” Matt B and Brian P are going back to school (Westerburg High, specifically) for a deep dive into what is perhaps the greatest dark comedy/teen-movie satire of all time, HEATHERS, starring Winona Ryder, Christian Slater, Kim Walker, Shannen Doherty (RIP), and Lisanne Falk. After that, they’ll follow Winona into the afterlife as she summons everybody’s favorite Neitherworld bioexorcist, Michael Keaton, in Tim Burton’s 36-years later supernatural comedy sequel, BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE. Finally, they’ll take Gen-X “auteur” Kevin Smith to task with a mini-review of THE 4:30 MOVIE & spitball the possibilities of their own multiplex-based feature film, before detonating the podcast itself, J.D. & Veronica style.
