New Video Alert!

It’s a little later than I’d hoped, but I’ve finally started making headway with my goldwork kit projects!

If you’re unaware, my other half bought me a goldwork wheatsheaf kit from handandlocklondon and bernadettebanner for my birthday earlier in the year, and I’ve been chomping at the bit to get started on it!

This is so exciting!

The Come As You Really Are/Hobbycave exhibition has opened at the Wolverhampton Art Gallery. I’m really looking forward to seeing it in person this week, but I’ve spied a few familiar items amongst all the incredible creative work folks have loaned for the display!

It’s a Friday - TGIF! And it’s still so warm here in the uk, so come and join me in the shade for some slow stitching fun.

Please excuse the badly lit photograph but I thought share the most recent part of my current Work in Progress!

This is the final fishy for my Sky and Water II inspired Nanna’s Travelling Ric Rac piece. I’m really pleased with the texture of the different trims as well as the gold fringe around its gills.

This week I’m continuing my little goldwork practice project. I’m working on a Hand and Lock/Bernadette Banner kit to try out this craft, and I’m loving it so far!

New Video Alert!

This video has been a while in the making, but finally I can share my first attempt at painting with bleach!

(It goes without saying, but THIS VIDEO IS NOT FOR KIDS! And if you’re planning to give this a go, be sure to use plenty of ventilation and safety precautions!)

I’m really pleased with what I achieved here, and I definitely plan to return to this craft in a month or two!
