I finished off this sepia toned doodle with some touches of dark brown to add some definition. I really like the texture created here, as well as the feeling that the design is recessed into the page.

The new doodle looks interesting. I’m hoping to create another recessed area, but with biro ink this time

I really like how the “graffiti” design on this doodle looks. Overall this mandala doodle has worked out really well, and I think the colours showing through the erased lines looks a little like stained glass

New Video Alert!

Hey Folks! I hope you’re all having an excellent week! I’m still busy working away on my stitchly projects.

Today I’m continuing with my freehand fabric doodle and starting construction on my sashiko bag project.

It’s slow going at the moment as everything is happening all at once here, but it’s good to take an hour or two to devote to my sewing crafts

I think I managed to create a good feeling of depth using the shading here. The smooth sepia shading works really well.

I have an idea about how I want the new biro doodle to look, but I’ll think on it before the next scribble session

I’m working through the possibilities of this particular process. It seems to work well if the layers contrast strongly with each other.

I really like how the base graffiti layers worked out - they’d make a good pattern by themself!

I’ve started the sepia shading for this new doodle, and I really like how it’s coming together! I think I’ll come back with some darker browns to add depth and definition in the next scribble session

I’m playing with layers of bright and contrasting colours in this digital doodle. I think it worked out quite nicely, but I’m learning more as I practice

So I finished off the cog-wheel doodle and made a start on the next design!

I really like the sense of depth that you get from the shading on the cog wheels and gears, and I remember why I love doodling these shapes in particular!

The newer radial spike design will be completed in sepia tones I think. I’m trying to get an even spread of each ink type across the piece, and I think it’s working so far!

Today I finished up the first layer of shading on this cog wheel doodle. I like taking my time and getting lost in the crosshatching process - it can often be quite meditative!

I decided to reuse the base layers of the previous doodle to create something new! I like doing this is I feel that there is something more I could do with parts I’d created before
