Anthony Arillotta expected to be indicted after running the Genovese crime family's Springfield syndicate, but he soon learned that this next wave of charges would be different. It wasn’t until he was in the midst of the case that he saw the full extent of the evidence against him. Dozens of cooperating witnesses, including several men directly involved in the murder at the center of the investigation, were prepared to testify.

Confronted with extensive testimony and documentation, Arillotta ultimately chose to cooperate with federal investigators.
