SCAM ALERT - AUTERI JEWELERS TAKING ZAMBIANS FOR A RIDE.

This fake London company, supposedly run by Natasha, recruited many ZAMBIANS and made off with their hard-earned money.

They promised investments with huge returns, but it was all a ruse. Even respected community members like pastors and officials got taken in.

Now, word on the street is they've set up shop again. So, beware and report these scams!

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE PATRIOTIC FRONT ON THE DEMISE OF ZAMBIA’S SIXTH PRESIDENT, DR. EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU

Thursday, 5th June 2025

Sixth President of the Republic of Zambia, Dr. Edgar chagwa Lungu has passed on.

The former President, who has been receiving specialized treatment in South Africa, died today on Thursday, 5th June 2025 at Mediclinic Medforum Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa.

Chawama Member of Parliament and daughter to Dr. Lungu, Hon.Tasila Lungu-Mwansa confirmed the sad development.

And lawyer to the family, Hon. Makebi Zulu confirmed the sad development but stated that members of the family were in the process of being informed.

President Edgar Lungu served as Zambia’s Sixth Republican President from 26th January 2015 to August 24th , 2021.

Details and funeral arrangements will be communicated later.

FATAL ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT – GREAT EAST ROAD AND ACACIA ROAD JUNCTION

March 22,2025-The Zambia Police Service wishes to inform the public that Chelston Traffic Police attended to a fatal road traffic accident that occurred today, March 22, 2025, at approximately 16:30 hours, at the T-junction of Great East Road and Acacia Road.

The accident involved Austin Vwaali, aged 44, of Chelston Minestone, who was driving a Subaru registration number APB 2242. Unfortunately, he sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Levy Mwanawasa Teaching Hospital. His vehicle was extensively damaged in the accident.

Also involved was an unidentified male driver of unknown age and address, who was driving a FAW Tipper Truck, registration number AIE 6831. The truck had a damaged bonnet and front right tyre.

Preliminary investigations indicate that both vehicles were traveling from the South to the North when the driver of the FAW Tipper Truck attempted an improper overtaking maneuver, lost control, and fell onto the Subaru.The driver of the tipper truck is on the run and efforts to locate him are underway.

The Zambia Police urges all motorists to adhere to road safety regulations and exercise caution while overtaking to prevent such tragic incidents. Further investigations into the matter are ongoing.
